The walk down to bottom of Amoudi bay is not pleasant. The smell of Donkey poo is terrible. The reward is worth it though, for the late evening ambience is fantastic. We were told to come to Katina, but looking around, all the restaurants seemed to be the same. The food is very simply prepared (chucked on a grill over an open coal flame). The lobster was good (but very expensive - 50 Euros). The calamari was disappointingly tough and chewy. The red snapper was also fresh. Al up it came to 100 Euros, which I chalked up as being one of our most expensive dinners in Greece. If I come to Amoudi bay again, it will be by boat, and I will probably try a different taverna.
