This restaurant has great food with a vast and varied menu. The service was quick but average but that didn't detract from the delicious food that was served. Vegetarians will not be disappointed. Starter servings are very generous and the overall ambiance is great - whether for couples or friends. Yum.

Oia is full -and I mean crammed - of desperate tourists shoving each other out of the way to photo the sunset. They are obsessed! People who never look at the sunset at home spend their entire time here manically searching for the ultimate photo spot. They see nothing and presumably never look at their photos when they get home. You can't blame Greek restaurateurs for cashing in on the feeding frenzy and serving mediocre food at sky high prices with a sunset view. Karma has no sunset view. It is a magical, candle lit and peaceful space. The food is home cooked. The wine is 10€ for a litre carafe. The service is relaxed. Try fava with caramelised onions and caper leaves or octopus braised in red wine. The kleftiko is melting and the rabbit tender. Finish with the baklava. I've had it over the years and felt ambivalent. This was home made and delicious. It was the best I've ever eaten. Leave the camera at your hotel. Look at the person you're with and have a lovely dinner for less than you'd pay for one at the tourist traps.

Nice small taverna that is tucked in the old area of Oia. There is no view but perfect patio dining. We enjoyed fresh anchovies wrapped around local cherry tomatoes, Fava bean stew, and Soutzoukakia. All of the dishes exceeded our expectations. The Soutzoukakia was perfectly spiced and the red sauce was very tasty. My wife had the restrain me from licking the plate. The anchovies are not the type that come on pizzas in the US. These little fish are meaty and fresh and pair magnificently with the cherry tomatoes. My wife did not let me get close to the Fava bean stew, but the empty bowl pretty well explained why.

Karma looked quaint and nice , but service was pathetic. We were in Oia for a week may first weelk this year.
Unfortunately attitude of serving staff along with the food was really bad. overly priced and indifferent and rude attitude of serving staff made us leave just after starters, which were not good either.

Taking advice from other tripadvisors, we made our way thru a back road to Karma. It is quaint with its outside flower roof and cozy corner tables. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. The lamb was both dry and fatty, while the marinated zucchini with cheese tasted as if it had been made the previous day and then sat out all day. There are so many choices in Oia, this is one you should miss.
