best fishesh, freshly baked, and fine kamari with home make mousakki
We had been on a boat out to the sulphur springs, returning just in time for sunset. There are a number of restaurants, all specialise in seafood, you can select your fish, and eat it as the sun goes down. Donkeys are available to get you back up the hill but we caught a cab - cheap and easy! The dinner rush is full-on, and we loved it.
It was quite a hike down and back up to Oia, but enjoyable and the lunch was great. You do have to watch out for the donkey droppings.
Great suntrap, perfect tranquil lunch spot with a couple of good restaurants choose from. Fresh Fish is spectacular.
On the recommendation of several people we ate at "the place with the orange chairs." The fish we ordered was fresh and delicious, but we weren't used to paying that much for just fish, so that hindered our experience just a tad.
The port itself is beautiful though. And so much fun to see being a "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" lover.
I was on Santorini for 3 months and going to Amoudy every time I find some free time. Landscape is amazing. View to Caldera, Oia, Volcano, Skaros is awesome! It's very good for diving and snorkeling because of interesting net of boat ropes, and deep clean sea also.
Road to Amoudi is also interesting, you must go through 2-3 tavernas and then follow a small road!
