We stayed at Marizan for 4 days. It's very unusual place with breathtaking views. Georgia, who looks after the property is excellent, organised transport tours for us. The room was spotless and the breakfast was nice with fresh bread, fruits and yoghurt.

Santorini is a spectacular place in this world and Marizan Caves and Villas in Oia is the perfect spot to stay. We were greeted by a staff member who carried our bags all the way to our check in where we met Georgia. She was a wonderful help during our stay and could not have been nicer. She suggested places to eat nearby and we were never disappointed with her advice. Our room was perfect. We fell in love with the quaintness of the room and the gorgeous balcony from which we could view the sunset each evening without fighting the crowds. The bread left on our patio table each morning was like a Christmas gift waiting to be opened. Santorini is so beautiful. It made us feel like we were walking through a real life postcard each day. We plan to return to this beautiful paradise and when we do we will head right back to Marizan.

Marizan is a wonderful property of villas and caves situated at the most ideal location in Oia, Santorini. From here, one has sweeping views of the caldera and it is also an ideal spot to view the famous Santorini sunset - privately! The caves are extremely well-appointed, spacious dwellings furnished in a traditional grecian style (all white!). Each studio also comes with its own private balcony which is perfect for breakfast, tea-time or just to laze and stare at the blue sea. En-suite breakfast is served each morning that includes fresh bread, cheese, meats, cereal, juice, butter and jams. One also has the option to cook a light meal, use the tea kettle or the coffee maker provided in each room. Reliable wireless Internet access is available across the property.

All of this awesomeness is courtesy the lovely Georgia and her parents. She is such a good host who goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable and special. She gave us tips to eat at her own personal favorite restaurants - all of which were amazing and helped us sample a wide range of cuisine options while in Oia.

Marizan is my number one recommendation for people visiting Oia and you will surely love every minute of your stay at this excellent property.

I can't say enough good things about this beautiful vacation spot! The view was spectacular; the villa was impeccable; the patio with covered dining table was outstanding; the daily fresh bread, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, juice, cheese made for a great breakfast and/or snacks. We stayed for a week with two other couples and had a wonderful time. It was so beautiful and iconic that we felt we were in a vacation ad! Shopping in Oia was fun, the shopkeepers were friendly and helpful, the restaurants were great, and wandering about town was delightful. We didn't ride the donkeys up or down the hill to the waterfront restaurants (we walked down and Georgia's dad drove down and picked us up for the return trip), but it was fun watching them parade past.

Georgia and her dad were outstanding hosts. I was quite sick the day we arrived and Georgia immediately called a doctor to the villa, and even went to the pharmacy and picked up a couple prescriptions. Because the doctor had prescribed a limited diet, Georgia cooked some rice for me and checked in on my progress until I was better. Without her help I'd have been miserable all week, rather than listless for a couple days. She was a sweetheart in so many ways and we were all impressed and appreciative of the level of support she provided us.

This was one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed, and we all recommend it highly. We were there in May and the weather was great.

Room Tip: I didn't see any other accommodations, but we stayed in a three-bedroom villa with three baths, fully-equipped kitchen, both indoor and outdoor dining tables, an infinity pool in one of the rooms, a large, partly-shaded patio (over the dining table), and a beautiful, unimpeded view.
