“Excellent cave house !”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

Thanks Louanna for renting us the excellent cave house! We stayed 2 nights in Island Blue which was perfect. The location, the house decorations, the view, the service, the hospitality - everything was just perfect! We enjoyed very much. The location is very convenient and it's just up above the blue domes. The house is fully equpped with everything - just like your home. Louanna treated us very well and recommended what's best in Oia and we don't have to worry. Thanks for showing us the good food around.

I would recommend you to stay in Oia myblue if you are going to Santorini.

We stayed in Dream Blue for a week at the end of September and the pictures and other reviews tell the truth.
But there are some comments I would add. Oia is a very photogenic place tumbling down the side of the Caldera and the biggest premium in the village is space and outside space even more so , this is where Dream Blue comes into its own. The outside space in Dream Blue is a big benefit, plenty of space to lounge , eat, drink and enjoy the view unbothered by other camera wielding tourists. (It is overlooked but I did not see anywhere in the village that was not overlooked from somewhere, even the most upmarket hotels.)
The beds in the second bedroom would be too small for two adults.
There are 84 steps down to Dream Blue from the main thoroughfare. It does get easier the more you use them!
But overall a beautiful place to stay in a very convenient position with excellent service by the owner Louanna and her hard working team of Kelly and Albert.

I stayed in Dream Blue for 2 nights in Jun 2010 (yes over a year ago!) and there were only a handful of reviews when I booked it, now what have they got? over sixty 5-star reviews!! I fell in love with it right away when I found this gem on the internet and I knew I HAD to book it for my honeymoon!

Louanna is such a sweetheart right from the very beginning, trying to squeeze my 2-night booking in the packed June. Albert and she welcomed us at the car park and took us to the dream house. She was so sweet that she didn't open the door immediately but instead, she went in herself first to make sure everything was perfect before letting us in.

The house was a little bit smaller than I expected but it's fabulous! you can see how much thoughts Louanna has put in decorating the place. But our love was the HUGE double deck patio, the view was CRAZY! the endless aegean sea is right in front of you, so tranquil and romantic. what's better than sipping the wine Louanna prepares for you in the heated outdoor jacuzzi while enjoying the breathtaking view?

The fridge is stocked up with food and drinks for breakfast and local snacks. The dinning table is decorated with fresh flowers. Both bathrooms provide L'occitane shampoo, shower gel and lotion. Louanna even left us a cell phone with phone card so that she can be reached anytime we need her. Louanna said we shouldn't leave without paying a visit to the Amouradi Bay so she drove us there for lunch and sent Albert to pick us up afterwards. How attentive that is! Louanna also booked us the best table at the Ambrosia, a must-visit restaurant on Santorini!! On the last day, she showed us her other apartment - The Island Blue which is smaller but with a STUNNING postcard view! All in all, I would definitely go back if I have the money!

We stayed in Island Blue in early October and it was incredible. The cave house itself is charming with a cave shower and jaccuzi room. It is exquisitely decorated by the owner Louanna with a blue and white palette. The liquid soap in the kitchen and even the coffee maker light are shades of blue. As nice as it is, the cave house isn't the main draw; the views are. You step outside and it's like a postcard. We saw postcards that looked like they were taken from Island Blue and we saw Island Blue in at least one postcard. Finally, you can add a really great owner and staff to top off the experience. Our flight to Santorini was delayed from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM so we didn't even get to Island Blue until almost 1:00 AM. Louanna made sure our driver was at the airport. She also sent Albert; a young man who made me feel old and weak as he easily carried most of our luggage up the winding paths to the cave house where Louanna was still waiting for us to make sure we were settled in. During our stay we met Kelly who in addition to doing many loads of laundry for us, is a little obsessive (in a really good way) about keeping the cave house clean and tidy. I'm really not a "luxury" traveller and Island Blue is not cheap by any means but it was really worth the splurge to have this wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Dream Blue is bigger but Island Blue has those views

My husband and I recently visited MyBlue cave houses while in Santorini for our 25th anniversary. We stayed in Island Blue and were able to visit Dream Blue while we were there. Both these properties are gorgeous, so beautifully decorated and well-appointed with extra special touches that make you feel like you are at home. The views are beyond description, you really have to visit to appreciate it all! Louanna, the owner, and her staff are incredibly helpful, making sure your every need is met and that you are having a good time on the island. They all go the extra mile for you and make you feel special and cared for. This was a dream vacation and we hope to return someday!

We stayed for a week in Island Blue on our honeymoon and had an unforgettable experience. The view cannot be described, the cave house is lovely, the indoor jacuzzi a real treat and sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine is perfection. Everything about our stay was fantastic and Louanna makes it extra special. Louanna even took us out on the town one night and we had the priveledge to meet Louanna's lovely mother. Nothing is too much trouble and she welcomed us into her home like it was our own and we felt like we had made a true friend by the end of our stay.
Tips: the pirate ship is a lot of fun although hot springs in May are not exactly hot! Kandouni is an excellent restaurant with a great owner. Ask Louanna to reserve a table for you to watch the sunset over some cocktails. Try to do some touring round the island (we hired scooters and had a ball) - the walk to the church at Imerovigli is really something, a seafood lunch at Amoudi Bay is great. Final tip - always go with Louanna's or TA restaurant suggestions - we strayed from this once and had the worst lunch ever!
Thanks Louanna for making our honeymoon so memorable and we hope to visit you again one day. Our all seeing eye still watches over us...

myblue is the best part of the island- with the breath-taking view, well-decorated room, jacuzzi with color-changing lights, candles and free wine, what else do you want to explore on santorini?
