This place is awesome! The owners and staff take pride in making sure the accommodations are impeccable and the guests have everything they need. The pictures only begin to show the beauty that surrounds you here everyday. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the sunset, but looking directly out at the caldera. Loved it!!
Hector Cave was out of this world. Wonderful location, restaurants, shops, views all at your doorstep. Every need and more was provided for in the accommodation. Suitable for couples, but would cater easily for five. Out door jacuzzi and balcony was an absolute bonus.
The best feature was the care provided by the host, Giannis and team, Dana and Dimitris. Always there when needed.
Would recommend Hector Cave and would definitely visit again.
Just to start with the view is breathtaking. My stay was close to perfect from every aspect. All you can need are or can be provided. Ioannis the host is a great guy and always there if you need something
Our four-night stay at Hector's Cave House was simply extraordinary. As the previous guest mentioned, yes Oia is touristy but you are definitely far from the madding crowd once you arrive on your terrace. The view over the Caldera is breathtaking and gazing at it while relaxing in the outdoor spa with a glass of the courtesy white wine provided by Giannis should probably by on your bucket list. The house itself is immaculate and tastefully renovated. Just about everything you could possibly hope for in a rental property, and then some, is provided. Giannis bends over backwards to make sure that guests are comfortable and welcome. In terms of comfort, location and amenities Hector's Cave House is hard to beat. Our stay passed all too quickly, we can however dream about coming back again someday!
My husband and I stayed at Hector Cave house in September 2016. If we had to sum up the experience in one word it would be 'bliss'. The location is fantastic, being built into the caldera in Oia Village, with spectacular views across the Agean sea to the island of Thirasia. From the balcony/patio of the Cave house you can also see other Santorini towns of Fira and Imerovigli. Being in Oia Village was great - it is so picturesquely beautiful and has many restaurants and cafes that serve delicious food. Oia is quite touristy, but that's to be expected (and there's a good reason for it), and it didn't impact our enjoyment of our stay. When you're inside the Cave house you can not hear outside noises, which meant good nights sleep for us (we also found the king size bed very comfortable). The Cave house has been renovated in the past year and Giannis has done a fantastic job! It is fresh, clean, modern and has everything you need to feel at home when you're away from home. We also loved the Jacuzzi on the balcony/patio - perfect to cool you down and help you relax while you admire the breathtaking view and sip on a glass of chilled Santorini white wine. Giannis was such a wonderful, welcoming, warm host. He provided us with such useful information, tips and recommendations. He really goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and have everything you could need. He provided a bottle of white wine for our arrival, and even brought us breakfast of Greek pastries one morning when he popped by to help the people upstairs check-out of the upstairs accommodation. When our 4th night was over and it was time to leave, we really didn't want to go. We highly recommend Hector Cave house, and Giannis is a perfect host! Take us back there now! :-)
