Selected this Logis because of its location and the fact that it had a swimming pool (in fact it turned out to have 2 small pools - one of which seemed to be more for those with children). With the quality of the room, found it to be overpriced at 90 euros per night. Poor quality bed linen, threadbare, rough towels, pillows dreadful (very old and extremely dead), mattresses only OK and two, narrow single beds. Bathroom a reasonable size and air conditioning worked which was a bonus point. Pool nice and cool but I spent a considerable time rescuing the local insect life/vegetation from it as it was not swept regularly. Owners are pleasant and helpful. Had dinner there one night which was fine although not earth shattering. In fact, the best meal we had this time in France was out at the local restaurant called Les Calicots, 17 rue du Commerce, Fabrezan which served beautiful fresh local produce imaginatively including superb fish and chicken. Would actually recommend you drop by there for lunch if you are in the region (shut Tuesday)!

I booked this hotel via email, a friendly conversation via the web that worked. It advertises itself as a family run affair with local fish as a speciality. This indeed proved to be the case; the restaurant is great with wonderful Mediterranean fish featuring. Oysters, Gambas etc. It was probably the best on our recent tour around France.

The family have restored / converted various buildings on the Clos, ( just on the edge of the village). We stayed in one of the rooms to the rear and shared a pool with two other folk. Excellent. Very nice room, Air Con and a small shady terrace. Maybe a bit rough at the edges but we don’t like formality.
Some of the rooms on the other side were not so well favoured and their terrace was exposed to all visitors, so book with care.

However the food is the star! Look no further, it was fully booked each night and every meal was excellent.

Fabrezan proved to be great for touring around too and we did a great tour of castles and vineyards. Very easy access to and from the Motorway.
Highly recommended, maybe not if you are used to ‘chic’ formal hotel service but this is a real quality working family hotel in a great place.
