We stopped here for a quick lunch on a long road trip. The village of Chateauneuf is beautiful. We were lucky and visited on a hot sunny weekday, so we were able to walk round peacefully and enjoy the lovely village.
The Auberge du Marronier is right next to the car park on the main square so we gave it a go. We were able to sit outside which was lovely.
The owner was very friendly. We had a light lunch (salads and a croque-monsieur) and though the salad was good, it didn't contain any tomatoes, which was disappointing. Otherwise the goat's cheese was very good.
