Have just spent an incredible few days here - simply amazing. The owner, Michael and his excellent team managed by Christopher, have managed to maintain the perfect balance between understated luxury and authentic Africa. Nothing appears forced, synthetic or glitzy - the emphasis is on natural materials and a totally relaxed environment, all set within the most amazing location. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who do their utmost to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. There are stunning views wherever you look but the private beach bungalows are truly outstanding in their design. I hadn't quite realised until I arrived just what private little worlds they are, each with their own beach garden looking straight out to sea. Ours was totally secluded on all sides, even with all the shutters open. Waking up and going to sleep with the Indian Ocean literally metres away was a dream come true and being able to shower or bath looking straight out to sea was incredible. We all loved taking out the kayaks at different times of tides. (Some life jackets for the kids would maybe be useful.) The food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner with our favourites being the fillet steak and prawn curry. Lunch snacks by the pool were also very tasty. Pricing was simple and very fair - no supplements etc which was great. Great attention to detail in the swinging double sun beds and numerous little areas to sit in, in the turn down at night, the foot washing pool at your entrance, sun hats, robes and wraps provided...it never felt crowded or busy, just wonderfully peaceful. I can't recommend it enough, especially for honeymooners who want to go somewhere that isn't overdone but rather somewhere that enhances the natural environment. Be prepared for the odd lizard, sea breezes that may dampen your towels, earthy smells and bush babies early in the morning on your roof - but also remember, it's Africa. That's all part of why you go! Congratulations on achieving such an idyllic get-away. We'd go back any time...

Absolutely loved this hotel and its lovely staff members. They were very accommodating to our needs. The hotel is situated in front of the beach so you can hear/ see the tide coming in and out. Our room faced the beach as well, so it was wonderful waking up to the sounds of waves. Would definitely stay here again

A tranquil hotel with charming ocean view villas.. Staff very friendly and hands on to help.. The location might be the opposite of the Stone Town or all the noise, but you are whisked away once you get to this little charming hotel.. The attention to details by the staff in doing your bed when your are out of dinner, making sure the mosquito
Nets are down and the little flowers disposed on your bed.. I could go on.. The views are amAzing ..I would go back right now .. Simply bliss

We loved our three-night stay at Seasons Lodge. The beach cottages are truly spectacular -- in the morning we could lay in bed and look out over the turquoise ocean. The staff were very friendly, and looked after every detail. Food was very good (try the curry!), and the chef was more than willing to cook us items off the menu for us to increase the variety as we are vegetarian. They were also really accommodating for our kids, including cooking custom meals and providing beach toys. The owner Michael is really nice, and can give you lots of information on the island. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: The wifi would be stronger in cottage 3 or 4

We will come back, time and time again. Each time we visit it is better than the previous stay. You will not find another place like this. No pictures can quite describe the seafront rooms, litterally on the beach. Thank you Mr Clarke, we appreciate all that you do

Room Tip: Book a Villa, you won't be dissapointed.
