“Great beach! ”

Reviewed November 1, 2017 via mobile

This beach has been renamed, now has an Italian name. Most restaurants are Italian. It is on the east side of the Island and can be accessed by taxi from Stonetown. A good price would be around $75 for the return trip. There are a lot of activities as well as surfing school. You can spend the whole day here to enjoy activities. You will also find Masai men and women who specialize in handicrafts. You can buy some hand made jewelry from them. They don't mind if you politely ask to take pictures with them, they will be happy to oblige.

This is best place and probably the only place near Ponwge/Kengwa for a night out with music and dancing. This place is so welcoming and the staff so friendly. A special mention to Janet, she was always on her heels and made sure were attended to always and took good care of us. We loved the grilled seafood and the drinks at reasonable prices. Special mention to the owner "Peter the Masai" and we appreciate meeting him and hearing his stories.

Fun and safe. We partied till 4am. Everyone was happy, dancing away. Really had fun. Wasn't far from the resort 'Dreams of Zanzibar'

Enjoyed the visit and the atmosphere very much.
Thanks guys and girls you made my day much better after the verbal abuse from the locals and the stinking fly infested market.

Other than the silly name, I really enjoyed this pub. The food was excellent, drinks well-done (and reasonably priced...especially for Zanzibar) and they offer free wifi (that actually works pretty well).

Other things of note are nightly bon fires, packs of dogs (which may be a plus for some, minus for others) and tables right on the beach. One of the better places to hit up in Kiwengwa.
