Milele Villas

We had a wonderful week in Milele with 12 friends, celebrating our 25 years of friendship. It was our fifth holiday together and we all agreed it was the best. Milele is located at a quite part of Zanzibar. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Food is great. Best part of Milele is the location and the marvelous views. With its private beach we could spend many hours swimming, walking, sailing and rowing without any interference. It was very easy to arrange day trips to explore the island. Place I can recommend to anyone who looks for great views, trusty staff and lots of privacy.

We stayed in villa lisa with several friends. I would recommend this Villa to anyone who wish to travel to Zanzibar. The house is clean, luxurious, safe and located in quiet part of the island. It is suitable for quiet honeymoon holidays (the sunsets are breathtaking!) but also for younger fun seeking crowd as it is located 10 minutes away from discos and bars in kenwa rocks and nungwi.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Josu the manager helped us with any problems that we had. He helped us to book safari and recommended best diving centre on the island. He even organized surprise birthday party for one of our friends. I also have to pay credit to the chef, every meal was tasty and beautifully presented.
The beach in from the house is not suitable for swimming during low tide but the swimming pool makes up for it also 20 minutes away in Matemwe you have the best beach in Zanzibar.

To summarise it is an epic place and if you are considering several locations villa Lisa should be on the top of your list.

We stayed in Villa Tatu which is beautiful, clean and relaxing. The food was amazing! they even served a 3 course meal at 10pm when we arrived. Staff were helpful and kind.

Only things that bothered me was the website turned out to be a vague on whats included.

• the pool listed in 'the facilities' of both villas is for the use of Villa Lisa only (one of the reasons I booked Milele was because it had a pool as I knew the beach was not swimmable at low tide).
• The rates say they included a private vehicle with driver ex petrol prices but the amount we were charged per trip was twice as much as a local taxi so it can't just be the petrol you are paying for.

That being said I definitely would go back again, but stay longer and in the Villa Lisa.

Room Tip: Go for Villa Lisa with a big group for the best experience

Milele is amazing! The villas are spacious and beautiful. What really makes this place, though, is the staff. Jasu especially couldn't be more helpful and considerate. He seemed to be there whenever you thought you might need him! We got rides to the beach bigger beaches, picked up from the bar, and were supplied with juice for cocktails and beers the entire time we were there.

The food is another thing that I can't speak of highly enough. The breakfast is simple but delicious - eggs, crepes, toast and fruit every morning. The dinners are unbelievable! Fish curry, enormous grilled shrimp, wonderful avocado salads, etc. They were meals you wouldn't be surprised to find in a five star restaurant. They clearly stole their chef from somewhere special.

One thing to note is that the upstairs of the bigger villa is open air. Mosquito nets provide plenty of cover, but it is worth mentioning. We were entertained by the occasional bat and bird that flew through, but some might not love it.

In summary, this place is amazing. The setting is beautiful, the staff is perfectly attentive without being intrusive, and now I need to find a way to get back to Zanzibar and Milele!

I visited Milele Villas with three friends after three weeks of traveling through Kenya. Milele was the highlight of our entire trip and one of the most spectacular places I have ever been to.

Staff - There are countless things to rave about Milele, but the staff is what made our trip truly special. Ronny the owner was a pleasure to deal with in booking our stay. The managers, Gustav and Jasu, were super fun and catered to our every need! They helped us with booking tours, shopping, and provided transportation to other parts of the island. The rest of the staff was also great!

Food - The food, prepared by a private chef on the beach, rivaled anything I've had around the world. The fish was extremely fresh and even the presentation was great. Our booking included breakfast and a 4-5 course nightly dinner.

Grounds - The accommodations were also out of this world. The villas are absolutely gorgeous (the website pictures doesn't do the place justice) and all the furnishings are awesome. The pool is great and the beach is secluded (and has a smaller swimming area just down the beach).

I wasn't planning on returning to Zanzibar in the near future, but all I can think about is coming back to Milele Villas. I'll be back soon and will recommend it to everyone I know!

After an "exciting" road trip, we couldn`t believe where we arrived.
Being in a part of paradise was our first and last impression.
We were 2 couples and we were all stunned about this lovely place, the awesome, lovingly, obliging staff and fantastic cook.
Also Villa Lisa is very beautiful with the Dhow furniture everywhere and the pool is great and the ocean is fantastic and............... I hope so much to be there some more times in future.
Thanks a lot Milele villas!!!
