“Great Campground.........Especially for Kids !!!!!”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

While traveling we stayed here for 2 nights. Great access from I- 87. Owners Mike & Gina and manager Marcy were all fantastic folks and were helpful and we enjoyed chatting with them. Great sites and our large motor home with car in tow had no problem going to our site. This place is great for kids with a full activity schedule daily. Truly a nice campground with wonderful owners and manager. We will return anytime in this area. Thanks for a great stay. !!!!! This is also a great campground to be a seasonal camper, and your kids will absolutely love this place.
We were there for the opening weekend and many seasonal campers were present as well. Everyone was thrilled for the start of another great season of camping. Your kids will love you in this location. Many beautiful rental units available as well. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

We were a little hesitant to stay here after reading negative reviews about the staff and facilities. I am happy to say that we had a very positive experience. There was plenty for the kids to do with activities, a pool, miniature golf and a jumpy pillow. There was also train and wagon rides. Some of the activities were free and some had an extra fee attached, we found purchasing the child's activity bracelet well worth it. We stayed in the Boo Boo cabin and found it small but clean and comfortable, the tv and wifi were a nice touch. With the cabins you have to remember you are camping and not a five star hotel. There are a few thins that could have been run a little better such as the group camp and bonfires. I think if they put a little organization into it would have been a great way for campers to meet, one bag of firewood? Bring supplies as the store is expensive. Overall a very good experience. The one thing that bothered me was the proximity to the highway. This would be the one reason we would not return, the constant sound of traffic is not why people go camping. I would recommend this experience for first timers and people who do not consider themselves hard core campers.

Room Tip: Get as far away from the highway as possible.

Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your stay! The weekly Community Bonfire is a chance for people to meet one another and make new friendships while camping at the park. We are located just off the highway and occasionally the sites by the river will hear some noise when tent camping. Folks in our cabins usually do not hear any nightime noise.

Hope you will camp with us again!

Sincerely,

For 15 years we have gone to Paradise Pines for Halloween. From the time we hit the gate to the time we leave is great! Our hosts Mike and Gina are the BEST!!!! The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We really enjoy it and so does our son who is 23 now. It's like a family there to which you become a part of for your stay. So much for the kids to do and parents too. It's a safe atmosphere for everyone and that to me is really important. And it's clean!!!! It's a place where your kids can roam around and make friends and see them again the next year, and adults too. It's a blast to go and sad to leave. If you want to escape the trials and tribulations of general life this is the place to go and just be a kid yourself this is the place to go, every weekend is themed. Chocolate weekend when our son was small is a hoot. You won't be disappointed if you spend a weekend here! We just love it.

We have been to Yogi Bear Paradise Pines numerous times over the past and each time it is a great experience. Out of all the themed weekends, Halloween is one of our favorites. Always something going on to keep the kids entertained and ceramics are always a big hit with my son. Stayed in the Mountain Cabana and it was great! Very clean and comfy - lots of room for the family. Overall Yogi Bear in North Hudson is a wonderful campground!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your first visit to our park. We agree that more road signs would be nice to have however signage is highly regulated by the Town or State and permits are either impossible to obtain or cost prohibitive. Please do not hesitate to phone the park directly for directions. We are happy to assist.

Thanks for staying with us.

Our family reunion was a total success and it was thanks to Gina and all the staff at Jellystone Park at Paradise Pines . They were all so welcoming and friendly , they allowed us the use of the pavilion on Saturday night for 2 hours so we could have a pot luck sit down dinner . They set the tables up for us the way we wanted and when it was over I was going to clean up and the staff said no we have got it . All the young children in our family had a blast there was plenty to keep them amused and the Halloween theme was wonderful , even the older members of the family got in on the fun . The only complaint I have is that the time was way too short , I wanted to stay longer it is such a beautiful park I am sure we will be back again . My family wants to make this a tradition and continue to have a yearly reunion at Jellystone . If you want to have a great vacation or are planning a Family Reunion go to Jellystone Park in North Hudson NY . you'll have a great time and make a lot of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime !!!!!!!
