We had lunch here before we could check in in Sarove Salt Lick. I really do not know why we had the check in here and had luch before we went to our other lodge. The personal was friendly and what i really liked was the view next to the swimming pool. There is a waterpool and elephants, zebra's are standing a few meters away from you. That was such a beautifull sight. I didn't like the total atmosphere from this lodge. It had no feeling like the other lodges where we stayed in. It was very modern instead of a little african feeling.

My husband and I stayed here 1 night during a 3 night safari, the rooms here are lovely and the lodge its self is really very nice. There is a water hole very close to the pool area and we were able to see a lot of elephants there which was great. The food here was really nice and there was plenty of choice. We went on a night safari which was 2,000 shillings pp or $25pp, if you have the chnace to go, do! overall a very nice place!

I took a group of 55 to the lodge and everyone had a 5star rating for this property. We got a venue for everything...Indoor games, outdoor games and wild game viewing at the roof top. The watering hole built a few meters from the pool attracts lots of animals and birds, adding the overral experience. The rooms and the food were outstanding, with a most helpful staff waiting to assist with anything and everything. I recomment this trip for fun lovers.

Room Tip: Pick a room higher up the floors, and preferably with a view of the pool, and the watering hole is j...

I prefer a bit older lodges. With more character. This one tries to be very luxurious (spa, room service, bed making etc) and you might as well love it. For me, it was a bit too small with too many people. The rooms were gorgeous tho and the location was great. Yet, if I was to go again, I would shop around and choose another one.

I don't want to sound mean but looking at the photo's and reading the reviews of this Lodge I was not expecting a lot, I could not have been more wrong it exceeded my expectations.
The Lodge was lovely, the rooms were a nice size and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
The food was delicious and the staff were all so lovely. Only downside was the hard beds but every Lodge was the same!

This place is a hidden gem, less talked about as compared to its sister concern (Salt lick lodge) but definitely a place worth visiting. The structure is amazing, the rooms are airy and spacious. There is a nice swimming pool with an awesome view of a waterhole. The food is very nice and there are some pool tables, table tennis tables and some other board games as well. You get to see a lot of animals at the waterhole including large herds of elephants. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you're pregnant, aged or have trouble in climbing stairs, dont take the 4th floor rooms as th...

This is our 12th visit in 2 years as a family and with friends. An unusual place set in the middle of the savannah at the foot of Taita Hills and adjacent to Tsavo West National Park. Rooms are african styled and good value. The lobby area is vast and has a fire place for the cold winters, all staff are very attentive and well trained and speak excellent English.

The food is very good and plentyful. The pool and garden area is perfect for all including families and couples with a watering hole near the pool which is frequented by elephant buffalo and zebra.

Most people stay as part of a package deal and this includes safaris in the private game reserve with amazing landscapes and great game viewing all year round. a good core of self drive Kenyan and Tanzanian residents also frequent Taita Hills

Room Tip: All rooms double, twin or triple, some rooms have connecting doors so great for young families. Nice...
