Very clean hotel and grounds. The staff are all really friendly and our room had all the facilities we could need. The food in all of the restaurants was top class and the pools had plenty of loungers always available. They have a pristine 18 hole crazy golf course, archery, tennis, a snooker table, table tennis etc. and all are free to guests. We did the archery lessons twice and can thoroughly recommend. The hotel is right next to the town and all of its restaurants (there are plenty to choose from) and also right next to the beach. Would thoroughly recommend.

We visited the Morabeza with my sister and husband. Two of our party have been ill with sickness , take care when eating raw fish at the beach bar.
We had room 237 with partial sea view. We moved from a room overlooking the pitch and putt at the rear of the hotel because of a filthy looking bathroom.
The 200 block is situated nicely on the hotel grounds, sadly pigeons nest outside our door leaving horrid bird poo to step over every morning. Not thoroughly cleaned up by the maids.
On a positive note the hotel has charm, learn to creole dance with the locals , go to the fish restaurant near the pier only open in the day only called Sical, amazing fish and salad.
Take the hotel village tour, quite an eye opener as to how the locals live.
The cocktails at the beach bar are great, lunch at the beach bar good, avoid the raw fish. And the sea!!!! It’s clear blue and wonderful. Breakfast average , the sparrows will nibble at your food if you leave the table.
If I came again I might book a sea view and upgrade my room although the newest block slightly away from the hotel is adult only and looks soul less.
Staff good

The Hotel is exceptional for room standard, entertainment, and Food, although the breakfast buffet wasn't up to the standard of other hotels I have stayed in. The Beach club lunches were superb, and the dinners, both in the Palmiers restaurant and the Tortue were excellent. My only criticism, we booked the Palmier suite, thinking it was the best accommodation but found it's proximity to one of the pools, which we had been told was adults only, in fact wasn't, and within two days of arrival was overwhelmed by a very large and noisy family. My recommendation, if you prefer less shrieks and screams, book accommodation in the Executive block the other end of the resort.

Room tip: If you require/need peace and quiet, book accommodation in the Executive Block

Went island hopping in Cape Verde and this was the best hotel we stayed in. 3 pools, beach club and very convenient for Santa Maria town. Breakfast with full range of hot/cold options to suit all tastes. Outside barbeque for fresh fish in the evening. Attended the Valentine's Day evening and they go it spot on. Suberb range of veg/fish/meat options and then live Cape Verdean band with professional dancers who got all the guests up for an african style shindig. Would have stayed longer here had I known what it was going to be like.

Room tip: Book an executive Room if you want to a quieter evening away from the bar/restaurant

We visited for my wife’s Grandad’s 90th birthday so there were nineteen in our party! We had a great time and that is important to note!

So again, an in-depth review of good and bad, and just like any bag of nuts it depends on the mix, you get and how much of each nuts you like and don’t, to determine if it was a good or bad bag is nuts!

Our preference for hotels are smaller and cosy with a nicer quite ambience, so this hotel ticks all the boxes! It is a lovely quite cosy hotel with good rooms! The rooms are spacious and the air-con work well! The bed was comfy and the showers and baths were good! The only complaint was the shower water and bath water really has a very bad smell so not sure how clean we really came out of them!

The facilities in the hotel are fantastic two full size snooker tables, tennis courts x2, Crazy golf, gym plus more it was quite something! I was impressed!

The food and drink, this is why I have only given the hotel three stars because the food was not good, the only meal I really enjoyed was breakfast and that’s because I had cereal! The lunches are ok but really nothing to write home about, also quite expensive for what it is, however saying that other members of the group enjoyed the food, which I think is fair however if you are not a fan of fish, the choice is limited!

The service and staff are quite slow so be prepared to wait three or four weeks for a drink, however they are friendly! There were one or two members of staff that were grumpy
Which let down the hotel in general as the rest of the staff were good!

My wife’s favourite was the beach bar on the beach which was comfy and welcoming, however still quite expensive! They do need more cakes! My wife’s opinion!

The drinks at night did seem to be quite expensive four drinks for some reason came to 34 euros which if in London would be fine but a little expensive for here, especially as in town the drinks are far Cheaper for the same brands!

Overall, great hotel sort the food out and it will be great!
