What a wonderful dining experience! Salads perfectly dressed and flavorful, appetizers of mussels in a wine sauce with sausage that were scrumptious, and a lovely cheese spread consisting of nuts, blue cheese, and fresh pears on a delightfully light baguette. My main course was gnocchi in a very light cream sauce with pancetta....it was to die for.Not only was the food spectacular the ambience was as well.

“Delicious and Delightful”
Reviewed October 14, 2009

An unexpected treasure in North Creek....the food was fabulous and the small plate concept made it easy to try several different items without running up a huge bill. Very sophisticated but not stuffy. The wide variety of wines was also wonderful, giving the opportunity to try something new! Make sure to try the artichokes with prosciutto and the sausage stuffed poppers. My stomach is growling just thinking about them!!

“barVino is not just great food and drink but a great experience as well”
Reviewed August 29, 2009

We've been to barVino several times since it opened in October, 2008, and every time it has been a great "night out." There is lots of energy, good conversation, friendly people - those you know and those you don't - along with the endless variety of excellent wines, beers and creative small plates. We have yet to sample a tapas that was not full of flavor, or that was unimaginative. The people who make up the waitstaff are not only skilled but warm, interesting, and fun to be around, and the owners treat each person like an appreciated guest. You can tell that the building was renovated thoughtfully - from the polished concrete bar and comfortable stools with backs to the warm fireplace, the gentle overhead lighting, the dark tin ceiling and restored hardwood floor. An added bonus is that you can purchase whatever wine you fell in love with during the evening at the adjacent wine store. Altogether, we would enthusiastically recommend this place and would not drive through the Adirondacks again without making a stop there.

“I love BarVino”
Reviewed July 21, 2009

BarVino has the most delightful combination of excellent food, good wine list and sophisticated yet totally unpretentious atmosphere of almost any restaurant I know. Small plate menu is reasonably priced and allows sampling of many flavors.

“Great Food, Beer, Wine and Service”
Reviewed March 22, 2009

On our recent ski trip to Gore Mountain, we went to barVino twice in three days, once for a light dinner and drinks and once for dessert and drinks. The beer and wine selection is huge, better than many good restaurants in New York City. It's a good idea to ask the knowledgeable and friendly staff for suggestions. We enjoyed a variety of beautifully prepared small plates and a dessert cheese plate of local and imported cheeses. Thursday late evening was quiet and easy-going as we chatted with locals and Saturday evening was lively and bustling as customers waited for seats. The Dogfish Head 9 minute IPA and the Brussels sprouts are highlights.
