Hampton Inn Niagara Falls

Stayed at the Hampton for 2 nights, it was not a bad hotel at all, very clean and close to every where. When you walk in all you can smell is the chlorine from the pool which is a bit off putting.
The beds were very comfy and it was immaculately clean, breakfast was ok plenty of everything a typical continental breakfast. All in all it was a good tourist Hotel.

It's a Hampton Inn. It's clean. It's well located. We liked the breakfast. It was a little pricey for a Hampton Inn but maybe because the occupation rate was high at this particular time. There seemed to be a bit too much chlorine in the pool.
The other reviewers late June-early July sum up well what else it might be worth commenting on.

Conveniently located on rainbow blvd. Pretty much everything in Niagara is close by. The stay was pleasant, there was always hot coffee in the lobby (day or night), the breakfast area was clean and well managed, staff was cordial. It was nice to have an indoor pool but could have used a little warmer water temp.

Would certainly recommend this hotel and stay here again if I visit Niagara in the future.

A word of advice: There is a tour agent desk (probably not associated with Hampton Inn) in the lobby for the Grayline - Niagara Falls tour. Stay away if you can.......you can read my review of this tour.

This Hampton is just as comfortable and clean as the others. Bed was very soft and supportive, pillows fluffy, hot tub worked very well.

Received a call from front desk checking to see if we had everything we needed.

Close to Niagara attractions without being in the tourist chaos, which was perfect for us. We walked to Niagara and we used out bikes extensively.

Fitness center small but up to date machines- did not go in pool or hot tub but they looked very inviting.

While overall this isn't one of Hampton Inn's top properties, it certainly is one of the better hotels in a market where the ratings drop off pretty rapidly.
The good - clean (although older), good staff, good room, good breakfast; only about a half mile walk to the Rainbow Bridge and Canada.
The not so good - it's pricey (AAA rate of $171 in late June, probably the most we've ever paid for a Hampton Inn); if you turn right onto Rainbow Blvd from the parking lot, the neighborhood goes rapidly downhill; a paucity of restaurants nearby.
Recommended, but stay on the Canadian side if you can.

We left Connecticut where were visiting family at 5:30 a.m. to drive to Niagara Falls, N.Y. This was a last minute decision since we had planned to take a leisurely trip back to Florida and home originally. However, I had never been to the falls and we had plenty of time for a detour. We booked the Hampton Inn on the U.S. side since we did not have our passports and could not go over to the Canadian side. Note: You can go over to their side, but unless you plan to remain there you had better have a passport. Homeland Security now requires it.
When we arrived at the Hampton Inn at about 11:30 we were greeted at the edge of the driveway by the Maintenance Manager and lots of tape and barrier cones. He advised us that they were re-paving the driveway and parking lot and it would not be finished until late afternoon. He did say we could pull up to the door and unload (I have a handicap scooter). After that we would have to park on a slight hill on the side of the hotel that was unpaved. However, the front desk advised us that we could not check in until 4 p.m. We decided to leave and go sight-seeing. By 3:30 p.m. we were back at the hotel and the parking lot was still blocked off. However, Mr. Robert Santiago, General Manager was out in the parking lot overseeing the work and instructed us to follow him. He led us to a small lot behind the hotel where he had saved a space for us. He and his assistant manager helped bring our things into the hotel. Later when we were going out for supper he stopped us to tell us that the lot would not be finished before we returned since they were now striping it. However, he blocked off a space in the corner of the lot in front of a door that was very near our room for us. It worked out perfectly for us. His concern for our well-being was over and above what we could expect.
The room was perfectly fine and was a typical Hampton Inn room. The duvet was very heavy but there was a light blanket in the room that I could use instead of the duvet. The duvet is very pretty but I find it is very uncomfortable due to its weight.
Once again my compliments to Mr. Santiago who went the extra mile to show us true hospitality.

Room Tip: The higher floors have a better view of the area.

The hotel services were excellent. We enjoyed our time on the New York side of the Falls. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful. If my friend and I go again, we'll use Hampton Inn. Please take advantage of the complimentary breakfast before you start your activities.
