I am a guide from NYC. In end of April 2012 I was staying there with group of tourists. I paid cash for four rooms. At time of check-in they took my credit card information and put on hold a few hundred dollars. Normally money should be released in 2-3 business days. It has past already 5 weeks. I called numerous times to the bank and the hotel but I still did not receive my money. The bank said they will hold it for three months!
Now i am making reservation for new arrivals. Definitely not in Hampton Inn! Never again!

Very friendly & attentive staff, room must have recently been refurbished as it was spotless & very thoughtfully planned, felt fresh. Great size with couch area, great bed, had mini fridge & microwave, in room safe. Free coffee/tea/cocoa/popcorn nice touch, AM b-fast standard but plentiful, whirlpool & pool nice to find as well. First Hampton Inn stay in a while & I was impressed (a touch pricey, however, for the area, maybe). (Besides the great State park & the Falls themselves, the city is in pretty rough shape on the American side, if you didnt know.)

This is a pretty standard Hampton Inn, nothing really special about it. We wanted to stay one night on the NY side during our visit to the Niagara Falls area. Not much to do overall on the US side. We were greeted warmly and checked in quickly. The kids were directed to the breakfast area were they offered free Popcorn and Sno-Cones. A welcome bonus after the long drive. Our room was clean. Noise over night was minimal. Parking is in a gated lot - well lit. Hotel is local to Daredevil Museum, theater and Casino. A short drive to Niagara State Park and the Rainbow bridge over to CA.

Breakfast area was being refinished while we were there. It did not defer from the enjoyment of having a standard Hampton Inn family breakfast.

Pool area was clean and kids enjoyed an hour or so in the Hot tub and Pool. Requested Pillows from the staff and they arrived quickly to our room.

Overall our stay was uneventful which is what I expect at every Hampton Inn!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE ANY BREATHING PROBLEMS - OR - IF YOU ARE AT ALL SENSITIVE TO STRONG ODORS. Attempted to stay one night on May 15, 2012. Arrived around 2:00pm was greeted as a gold member then given my room key. Immediately went to the room which was clean but had an extremely strong fragrance much like incense (very overwhelming). Returned to the desk and requested another room, next room had the same strong smell. Returned to the desk and requested another room (2nd attempt); clerk suggested that I wait to check in so that he could have a someone clean a room without using a fabric freshener... Waited till about 3:30 to check in; was given my room key, went to the room - room had little fragrance but not too bad so I turned on the AC fan and the bath vent fan then left the room for about 5 hours. Upon returning, the room smelled so strong with fragrance that it was breath taking (LITERALLY) - perhaps housekeeping sprayed the AC vent with freshener? I showered then dampened a washcloth to put over my nose; hoping to be able to get through the night. No such luck! After 2 hours of smelling the strong fragrance I became so ill that it was necessary that I leave the hotel (this was at 11:00pm). Buffalo has plenty of nice hotels at a much more reasonable price that are not far from Niagara Falls and is well worth the short drive to see the sights.

Room Tip: Find another hotel.

We had been use to staying at the Senceca Hotel but this year tried the Hampton instead. Check- in was a quick process, coffee/tea/hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Our room was quite clean and a fair size. We didn't have any noise issues overnight and breakfast was included in the morning. It consisted of cereals, bagels, waffles, yogurt, eggs and sausage. Plus other stuff so it's more then adequate. The only issue here is seating is at a premium as everyone rushes to the 11am check-out time. All in all a pretty good hotel with a 5-10min walk into the Casino doors which is why we were there.

Large rooms, clean, warm even if outside was freezing, free wi-fi in the rooms, helpful staff (could provide information about the Niagara falls attractions and their timetables), breakfast is included and has quite a large choice of food for a 3 star hotel.
Downsides:The eating area looks like a cafeteria. Distance from Niagara falls - 10 minutes walk.
