Comfort Inn The Pointe
Ranked #3 of 51 Hotels in Niagara Falls
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed October 6, 2013

We chose this hotel for the location. It was worth it. This property is by far the best value and closest to the Niagara State Park. The Park view will face you to the American Falls. Rooms are average and service staff is great. Breakfast was super! They had everything and enough seating for all the guests. The only item was the serving staff had to work in between the guests. I felt sorry for them having to excuse them self all the time and apologize for getting in our way. Did they think about putting the serving counter out from the wall. I'm sure it was even busier in the summer. Only down fall is the smoking. All of 2nd floor is smoking and it filtered down to our 1st floor room. Also many smokers hang our at the entrance of the hotel. I normally don't stay in motels that allow smoking but location made up for some of the smell.

Nice play to stay. Rooms were nice and close to everything all in walking distance. The state park entrance is right out the door and its a great walk to see the all of the falls. If you like the Casino it is just a short walk. The breakfeast is a nice start to the day-eggs and sausage not the best but the rest is a good.
Would definatly stay here again..

This property is by far the best value and closest to the Niagara State Park. Your choice of views are city of park. The Park view will face you to the American Falls. Either view is fine. Try to be on one of the upper floors though. The rooms are standard size, clean, and comfortable.bathrooms are clean, have plenty of towels that are nice and fluffy. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We needed help making taxi arrangements to return a rental car and another to get us to the Amtrak station. Both were taken care of by Betty at the front desk. Check in was fast and Bart was a wealth of local information. The complementary breakfast is average. The fare consists of eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, fruit and yogurt. But the best, which adds an extra star, is that the doughnuts are from a real bakery, not a box. You have a variety of food choices within walking distance. Indian, Chinese, Greek and American fast food is near by along with lots of souvenir shops. For,more upscale dining there is Savor at the Niagara Culinary Institute, and the Red Coach Inn. More on these two later.
The Rainbow Bridge is within walking distance and then a short walk and you are on the Canadian side. All of this without getting into your car.

Room Tip: Remember to ask for an upper floor.

We got the most perfect room ever. The room was SOOOOOO spacious and perfect. Never seen so much room in our life. No,,,,,we didn't have to pay like others do for their.....Fancy expensive rooms. The location is right on....off the hook. Just across the street to Goat Island and views of all the falls. We walked and enjoyed all 3 days stay there. The breakfast fills any of your wants. So many selections to choose from. Hats off to the entire staff here. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Room Tip: The corner room on 6th floor gives better views.

My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Niagara Falls. It was great to be able to walk out the back door, cross the road and be in the park with a short stroll to view the falls or go on the Maid of the Mist. The entrance to Goat island was also near by. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The night light in the bathroom is a great idea. The Hard Rock Café was nearby. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We should have taken their advice and go to the attractions by ourselves and not use the tour company.

Rainbow Bridge, Goat Island, and a fine restaurant are just steps away from this hotel, and we had a view of the rapids above the falls from our sixth floor room. We reserved a room with two beds so we could use one for luggage. It's good we did that because the room was small, and so was the bathroom. There was nothing luxurious about this hotel, but it provided everything we needed for a good price. The air conditioner worked better than most. The staff was friendly and completely helpful. If you're planning to walk across the bridge to Canada, as we did, this location is perfect.

Room Tip: Book early and ask for a room on an upper floor facing the park.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's location. The rooms and furniture are old and gross. The furniture looks like it hasnt been replaced since the 1970's. The staff is rude and even the smallest request is met with attitude and exhales. Breakfast is served in the basement so it is like eating in a windowless dungeon. I had two rooms and both had hair on the bathroom floors and used tissue under one bed, when I complained and asked that I be checked into a clean room I was met with hostility which remained for the two days I stayed there. There are no microwaves or fridges in any of the rooms. I would stay somewhere else next time. This place needs a huge upgrade and they need to get rid of all their staff and start over.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.
