“Good hotel right next to the Falls”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

This hotel was a great find for what I needed. The hotel appeared to be maintained decently but could use some updating of the rooms. I thought the price was fair for the close proximity to the Falls. The free breakfast was a plus as it had a good selection.

The best location on the New York side.
Front desk personnel very gracious.
Rooms extremely clean with comfortable beds.

Only con - breakfast.
Stale pastries, bad coffee, nasty donuts....but you make the waffles yourself so they were fresh and hot. Cold yogurt in the fridge. Great for imposed portion control.

Room Tip: Park your car and walk the neighborhood. Culinary Institute is an Excellent value and a short walk...

Your kind words about our location, accommodations, and especially our staff is most appreciated.
I apologize that the pastries were not as fresh as they should have been, but happy you enjoyed making your own waffles.

The Culinary Institute is indeed a wonderful place to visit, so glad you enjoyed it.
We hope your travels bring you back to Niagara USA

We stayed here for 2 nights in June. Excellent location, but the hotel is older and the rooms are worn and dated. The price was low, but this hotel did not live up to the standards of other Comfort Inns.

I just come back from Comfort Inn Pointe, Niagara Falls. The location was perfect, walking distance to Niagara Falls, Maid of The Mist, and other attractions (even for my senior mom with knee problem). Room size was descent, enough for 1 extra roll-away bed (can accommodate 3 adults and 2 kids). Everything was clean. Breakfast staffs were friendly and helpful. The breakfast itself was filling. I will stay there again whenever I visit Niagara Falls.

The location was perfect. Steps from the hotel was the falls and maid of the mist. On Friday night the street in front of the hotel was closed off, with vendors, bands and all the restaurants had there doors open, it was perfect. Everyone who worked at the hotel where super helpful. The rooms, a little dirty, elevator was super slow, easier to take the stairs. Breakfast was available on the lower level, but was super stuffy in the room so we skipped it.

For $213 per night, I expected more. I realize that I should expect to pay more for NY, especially Niagara Falls, but based on the external appearance and the condition of the rooms, it's a $100 hotel anywhere else. It is true, the hotel is within walking distance to American Falls and Goat Island/Horseshoe Falls and we could see Horseshoe's mist and the rapids from our hotel windows. But what if we didn't have a view?? The exterior of the hotel is somewhat old and worn. The interior of the room was about the same. At least clean. What really disappointed me about our stay was the "free" breakfast: it was VERY basic and shouldn't really be advertised as a bonus to staying here. At least the buffet could have included cream cheese for the bagels. Overall, this Comfort Inn is charging double what it should be able to. I guess this is why the Canadian side of Niagara is drawing the majority of the tourist revenue: it's overall a better value.

We stayed for one night to visit the Falls, and like most people, we chose this hotel for the location. It couldn't be more convenient! You could tell from reviews and looking at the pictures that the decor was dated, but we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort (no pun!). We considered staying in Buffalo for a bit less, and having to drive a half hour to the Falls, find parking, etc. and decided that we were on vacation and the Comfort Inn better met our needs. No regrets!!!

Room Tip: Higher floor, facing the park
