One of the neatest things about touring NY's Niagara Falls State Park is that you are given access not just to the views of the falls, but to the waters which precede them. Take a walk at the top of the Bridal Veil Falls and then go on the Cave of the Winds platforms and you'll be amazed at the contrast.

We viewed Bridal Veil Falls from the bottom via Cave of the Winds. It was much more impressive from below than from afar. It was far more powerful from below than it looks from far away. Visit Cave of the Winds, and you will see what I mean.

This has to be one of the most inspiring waterfalls in Niagara. Not because it is the largest or the tallest or the most dangerous. it is because you can get so close to it from the top or the bottom. The best view is from Canada although looking up from the Cave Tour is not bad assuming the mist does not soak your camera. Yes, people are drawn to this waterfall because they are able to feel the intensity and go away in awe of the power of mother nature. Get discount tickets by purchasing more than one attraction. More often than not on a sunny day you will be rewarded with a rainbow as well. This is #1 in Niagara.

Our group of two families with children aged 9-16 had a great time! We stayed on the American side and liked the park feel and natural setting. The Discovery Pass was a good deal and included a one day unlimited use of the trolley. This gave our feet a break during the day. Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds is breathtaking, while the sea lion show at the aquarium is entertaining. I also took the advise of a Trip Advisor traveller and watched the Niagara documentary in the big theater. The kids really enjoyed it and said it was best to see it after you've been on the boat ride. Be sure not to miss the view of the Horseshoe Falls from Goat Island! Have Fun and Get Wet!

Whether you have a lot of time or just a few minutes, this is one of those "once in a lifetime" (Bucket List) attractions. The incredible power of water falling is just a fascination for many - it has been a top tourist/honeymoon spot for years for a reason!! It's awesome. Try going there in the spring when the tulips are blooming - the Canadian side is just breathtaking! Plus the gift shop has a lot of neat souveniers.
