We got a great tip from the owner of the B&B when we made reservations. She told us to do the Cave of the Winds before we cross to Canada. So often you hear that the best part of the Falls is on the Canadian side so many will skip the Cave of the Winds. More water than the Maid of the Mist and all the things you get on the Adventure Pass on the Canada side.

What a great opportunity to be right next to the mighty falls and appreciate their power. Went to the Hurricane Deck and didn't get too wet. Wear shorts if you can. Wonderful Views. You can stay as long as you like. Absolutely loved doing this.

My husband and I went to Niagara Falls for our honeymoon and had a great time! We walked from our bed and breakfast to Cave of the winds which is on an island in between the two falls. First of all the walk is great because you cross a short bridge the takes you over the rapids. You also pass pretty spots to take pictures. We walked down a few steps to a wooded area that had a clearing with a little baby waterfall that made for great pictures. Down by the Cave of the Winds entrance there's an awesome viewing area where you can get up close to the Canadian Horseshoe falls. The price for the attraction very reasonable and it's so much fun. You walk along a boardwalk like path that leads you to the falls and up a few stairs to get really close. It was so awesome to feel the water spraying down towards us. Even with the panchos they gave us we got a little wet but it we didn't mind at all. It was a treat to go at our own pace and take as many pictures as we wanted. We definitely recommend this as a do not miss attraction on your vacation and we hope to travel back again.

If you wear shorts or roll up pants legs you may not get soaked with the poncho and sandals provided. up close and personal with the falls!

Must do. I thought it might be too chilly to get wet in September, but the weather was nice, and you only get wet if you go near the Hurricane deck, and even then it's just the bottom half. Good idea to not wear long pants, or at least roll them up to your knees.
