went there as it was included as part of The Discovery Pass- otherwise I would have avoided it. Its location is a distance from the Falls. You can either walk or take the trolley. It is small- and very old fashioned. It had tanks with both fresh and salt water fish-It was quiet and kind of dark in the place. Walking around it just seemed like time stood still -very outdated place. Kids enjoyed it -thats all that counts. Go only if you get the Discovery Pass-not really worth the full admission charge. $10 I believe.

Not much to see here, but worth the price on a rainy day. They still work hard to keep the place informative, but not a lot of exotic species. Younger kids would like it more.

No one is going to mistake Niagara Falls NY, with Niagara Falls ON. We decided to visit the less busy side of the falls for a change and would recommend heading to the US side to get a different perspective. The State Park along the Falls is a dramatic difference from the Canadian side and nice in its own way.

While there, we decided to take the kids to the Aquarium and weren't disappointed. It wasn't large, but it was the right size to spend about 2 hours with three under eight. The kids enjoyed, the octopus, penguins, sea lions, harbor seals, and all the smaller species. We were fortunate enough to be there for the seal and penguin feedings. A nice surprise was the magic show on the second floor.

Overall, it is like everything on both sides of the falls, a little expensive, but it is a great place to take young children interested in animals or marine animals.

We visited this aquarium in late July with our 4 year old daughter and infant son. The aquarium itself is small and dated, but it was a good way to spend a couple hours together. I believe admission was $10 for adults and $6 for kids. Parking was free and plentiful in a lot out front. The aquarium is in a residential area of Niagara Falls, a good distance from the main attractions. There was a free magic show the day we were there, so maybe call ahead to check on that. Be adivsed to eat before you go as there is no snack bar inside, which was actually kind of surprising.

If you can't get across the border to more exciting things to do, the Niagara Aquarium might be worth a stop if you want to kill an hour. The penguins getting fed were fun to watch, and the sea lion show was great. (worth the $10 just for that). Otherwise it's a few small room with the basics, and I'd imagine it could be pretty crowded in there on the weekends. Good activity on the US side if you have kids and want to get out of the sun.
