Staying in Manhattan we chose this tour for a full day experience of Niagara Falls. It was awesome! Our guide Eduardo was friendly and tried to pack as much information in as possible. We were picked up from our hotel at 6:30am and taken to JFK where we had to wait for our flight. This wait was the worst part of the day but not much anyone can do about it. After landing in Buffalo we were met by Eduardo and we headed off for a great day. The temperature was FREEZING but Eduardo made sure we weren't outside for extended periods of time without being able to go somewhere to defrost! Lunch at the Sheraton was nice but the views were spectacular. We got to spend plenty of time at both the American and Canadian sides of the falls, as well as the Whirlpool and other attractions. Eduardo made sure we were still in town when the sun set so we were able to see the falls lit up at night as well. As it is winter we didn't do the boat ride but went behind the falls for a different experience. The ONLY negative aspect for us was the bus heater, or lack thereof! It didn't appear to work and temperatures were very cold for us Aussies but this certainly didn't ruin our day. It was a very long day, pick up 6:30am returned to our hotel 11pm, but it was worth every cent. Not cheap at $500 per person but certainly so happy we did this. I did discover my iPhone turned itself off in the extreme cold! Three times I tried to use it to take panorama photos and it turned off until I snuggled it and warmed it up again! Great tour, worth every cent. Thanks Eduardo for a day we will always remember :)

My wife and I had just a couple of days in Niagara Falls and were keen to see as much as we could. We booked the complete day tour with Gray Line and were not disappointed.

From the time we were picked up directly from our B&B (Butler House, see separate review) at 11am to dropping us back there at almost midnight we were kept busy with places to visit and information about where we were and what was happening next.

Our guide was excellent, it was a showery day and if a heavy shower was due she just changed the itinerary slightly to make sure that we never inconvenienced.

We saw everything on both sides of the border and even had dinner at the top of the Skyline Tower overlooking the falls.

All tickets and trips were included and we skipped lines so there was virtually no waiting anywhere. This is an escorted 12 hour trip so it's not cheap, but if you want to see every attraction and you are limited for time then this tour is highly recommended.

In August, our family of 5 bought tickets for the Gray Line Adventure Tour at the Tourist Information Centre just outside the town of North East, PA - 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls. We were quoted $354.75 for a day tour - this was expensive and we asked the woman three times whether the tour was good value for money, as we were a family on a budget. She assured us that it was a great tour.

We were so disappointed and angry. After we arrived in Niagara we found we could have bought the online tickets for the same tour on the Gray Line website for a 9% discount. But worse than this, there were only 2 stops in the whole day which required paid entry (Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist). If we had bought tickets for these sights ourselves, it would have cost around $130! We could have bought all-day bus tickets to see all the other stops on the tour (that were free) for only a bit extra.

Our tour guide, Kat, asked us to wear tour id tags with "Kat's Kittens" on them then insisted on calling us "Kittens" all day and chastising us if we stopped to take a photo at the wrong time. We waited for 2 hours on the tour bus to cross the Canada-USA border because we had to wait in the bus-lane which was much slower than the car lanes. We waited for 2 hours in line to get on the Maid of the Mist (not our guide's fault, though).

Do not buy tickets for this tour! Save some money and see the same sights in your own time for half the cost.

We took this tour with Tom as our tour guide. It was the best. We live in the area and never have done either the Maid of the Mist or the Cave of the Winds. We will be recommending everyone for this tour, makes for a great adventure. Tom was awesome with all the info and facts you could ever want to know.

My wife and I just took our first trip to the falls, We decided to take a tour so we would not miss anything. We stopped at the welcome center and booked a trip for the following day. Our tour guide Tom showed up on time at our hotel he was very friendly and funny, we went around and picked up more people and he pointed out things along the way. what impressed me was the fact that Tom took the time to remember everyones name and he called us by our names all day. we had a great time and got to know alot about the falls and the town around it, we would do it again in a second. Thanks Tom for the great tour. Tony & Heidi
