If you don't book yourself in to this hotel, you are missing out. This newly restored and converted 1920's building is like something you would find in Manhattan. Having lived there, I know what I speak of! Amazing value for the rate we got. I will stay here every time I come to Niagara Falls - no matter what side of the border I am visiting. Canadians, it is worth crossing over to stay at this lovely boutique hotel. My husband and I stayed at Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel in a corner jacuzzi suite 2 weeks ago, and our room was incredible... but this room at the Giacomo was cheaper and far more stylish. The service was more personal (took us up to our room, freshly baked cookies, complimentary chocolates in the room, valet parking etc.). The architecture in the lobby is modern yet retains the original charm of the bygone era. In fact, I am writing this review from the Giacomo right now as I type on my laptop using the free wireless internet in my room! We have a corner suite, fireplace, modern jacuzzi bath and shower, small bar/sink area, and king bed. We walked to the casino around the corner and enjoyed a night of free drinks and generous slot machines. :) This is the lift that Niagara Falls USA needed... I am a Canadian and I WILL be back very soon!

We were amazed at this 1929 Art Deco office building that was renovated into a luxury boutique hotel and exemplifies pure elegance. We found the comfort of this hotel, from our room to the quaint breakfast dining room, to be as amazing as it was luxurious. We stayed in the Rapid Grand Deluxe room with a fireplace and jacuzzi. We were so impressed with the elegance of the furnishings and bed dressings. The bed was super comfortable with its pillow-top mattress & down comforter and the bathroom was loaded with its "pamper me" touches from the walk-in shower and its superior, spacious jacuzzi to the palace quality towels and designer toiletries. Did I mention the wet bar w/sink and complimentary chocolates and daily newspaper? On our first nights visit, as we entered the hotel in the evening we were offered fresh coffee and fresh baked cookies to take up to our room. It made us feel so welcomed! The next evening we returned to the hotel later and we found our plate of cookies waiting for us in our room. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast which included egg & cheese omelets, bacon and sausage, fresh cut-up fruit, pastries, cereal, waffles, toast and more. Thanks Chef Mike. We were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff also. They made you feel at home and went the extra mile to get to know you, meet your needs and make you comfortable. The General Manager, James took us on a tour of this 19 story building housing the hotel and luxury apartments, while giving us the history behind this newly opened hotel. Come to think of it, every time we were in the foyer of the hotel, so was James. He seemed to always be greeting his guests...that was a special touch. The Front Office Manger , J.C., was so friendly and accommodating. Aside from finding a great local hotel, we feel we have made new friends. This boutique hotel is definitely set apart from our other hotel experiences and makes it a hotel of distinction in our eyes. We will definitely return to The Giacomo again for our "get-away" weekends.

Ladeen booked our room, she was sweet and helpful.
James the manager was gracious and informative. Nice to have fast and friendly door to door service to the casino.
Housekeeping was lacking, room was never cleaned during our overnight, we had to ask for clean towels, they were left in a pile in the middle of a dirty room, with the bed not even made! Not enough staff to serve the complimentary breakfast, we skipped it on the second morning. We'd give them a second chance though. It would be so great to see the surrounding area built up, to see Niagara Falls thrive again!

Decided to take a chance on this new hotel on the US side in Niagara. Figured that for what I was going to pay to stay at the old Raddisson minus having to pay $20 for parking, I would try out this hotel as the reviews sounded very promising. We were very surprised and impressed! The staff were the friendliest I have ever met, going out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Clean, beautiful, comfortable rooms, best sleep I've ever had away from home..they are lucky I left at all!
Try this hotel, you will not be disappointed.
I can not wait to go back!

We stayed Valentine weekend and although it was booked the staff was so attentive to our every need. They dropped us off at the Casino in the town car so we didn't have to worry about parking on such a busy night. They brought us up breakfast to our room when we asked. The room was gorgeous! The jacuzzi was lovely. The staff was outstanding. We'll be back in a few weeks for sure.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a little getaway from home for the Valentine's Day weekend and chose to take a shot for lack of a better phrase with the newest hotel on the American side of the falls. We were worried about the bridge traffic for the holiday weekend (and we were right, it was busy!), and i prefer not to be in the same building as the casino. A friend recommended The Giacomo after attending the grand opening and we thought a boutique hotel at that price ($250.00 for a King Jacuzzi something or other room) was a ridiculous value for that weekend. Where we had stayed in the Falls side or Niagara on the Lake was much higher! Good size room for boutique style, huge bathroom, well appointed with jacuzzi and steam shower. The icing on the cake was the comfort of the bed...wow. we will be back again. more importantly, it is good to know we have something nice developing on the American side of the falls...good stuff.

Very new. Very personal service. Very friendly, Probably an adult hotel, but so attentive and kind to our children. It was exceedingly clean for a refurbished building. Accomodations were all well thought out. Upscale decorating. We were in a King with jacuzzi which had a very spacious bath. They accept AAA, etc, so ask for a better room rate. It is off season too, but for our family, the falls in winter, the State Park, all iced up is just as beautiful as ever. Continental breakfast included was more than appropriate with fresh fruit, eggs, etc. Great restaurants on the American side, or go over to Canada for entertainment. There is an interior observation deck on the 18th floor. A much less expensive and more upscale location. Try this boutique hotel if you have not had the experience before.
