Just beautiful. The outside is not fancy but the inside is just beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and the baths very nice. The bed in the 'Master room' was sooo comfortable I had to ask what kind of mattress it was. The hostess and her staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Their recommendations about our trip to the falls were very helpful... Visit the Cave of the Winds first so you have the waterproof sandals to wear on the Maid of the Mist. LOL They also recommended the Red Coach Inn for dinner and it was very good! Great B&B!!!!

Room tip: The Master room was wonderful!

Totally enjoyed the Hillcrest, the staff and the facility. A beautifully appointed old house convenient to the State Park and NY town. It is quiet and peaceful yet walkable to most attractions on the US side. If you are more fit than us you can even walk across the bridge to the bustling Canadian side. The breakfasts were extraordinary. We had the smallest of the four rooms and it was fine. No a/c if you are traveling when it's hot.

Room tip: Only four rooms but all have run of the house.

We were delighted with every aspect of our recent stay at Hillcrest Inn. The property is at the end of a short, dead-end street and overlooks the Niagara River. It is very quiet. We received a very warm welcome from Cassidy and could not fault any aspect of this property or the service. In our room, there was complementary bottled water and apples. High quality wi-fi was included in the tariff. Tea and coffee were provided in the beautifully presented downstairs living rooms. Biscuits and a very large bowl of nuts in the shell were there for the taking. The breakfast the following morning was superb. First there was a hot poached pear with strawberries and warm blackberry sauce. Then there was scrambled eggs prepared with Ricotta and chives. This dish was accompanied by lovely bacon and fluffy pancakes with Maple Syrup. Needless to say we could not finish our meals but more food was offered, including a still-warm just baked tea cake. Our breakfast was served in a lovely sunny room with a view through trees of the river. This property is ideally situated for visiting the falls - an easy 15 minute stroll to either site. Cassidy also arranged, at her suggestion, for a local taxi driver to collect us and take us back to Buffalo Airport, for $45.00, which was much cheaper than if we had called a cab ourselves.

Our total bill, including tax, was $131.19, which we thought was outstanding value. We recommend this property without any reservation or qualification.

First time at a bed and breakfast. This place was so quiet, beautiful, fun. The owners/employees were so sweet and informative. The breakfast was delightful. Served with silver and fantastic food. Will definitely visit again.

Room tip: Book in advance and get the master. It has a private balcony.

My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights in December. We knew we chose the right place to stay as soon as we rolled into the driveway. The house/property has tons of character and Cassidy and Mitzu were quick to greet us, help orient us to the area on our pocket map, and just generally make us feel at home. The care we received by the staff was outstanding. We stayed in the Hillcrest Suite, which was cozy but had all the right amenities. After enjoying the full-on gourmet breakfast provided to us each morning, we really appreciated being able to explore the area on foot, thanks in part to great weather we had while there and the Hillcrest's proximity to local attractions. The walk along Goat Island (a stones throw from the Inn) offers incredible views of the Falls. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, the hike along the Niagara Parkway is not to be missed. There are a handful of great dining options in town (we went into nearby Lewiston on our second night - a great stop for shopping and restaurants, but really appreciated being able to leave our car at the Inn most of the time), and lounged by the fireplace in the living room with the local beer and wine we picked up before turning in each night. Overall: perfect long weekend.

Room tip: Hillcrest Suite is a great choice for couples - great mix of antique/modern, totally comfortable
