“Niagara Falls!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

We were visiting friends in Buffalo, NY in early September and they were kind enough to drive us to the Falls on the Canadian side. What a spectacular site! Definitely a must see! We walked all over and enjoyed the sights of the Falls immensely. They then drove us to the beautiful town of Niagara On the Lake. The town is picture perfect. Lots of wonderful shops to browse and shop in. Great ice cream shops. The town is adorned with beautiful gardens up and down the main street. So many great spots to stop and take photos. Niagara Falls (Canadian side), and Niagara On The Lake is a great summer travel destination.

“The town on the American side is dull”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

The town on the American side is dull and neglected. There are many places to visit nature-wise (Goat island, the Falls, Cave of the Winds, the different lookout points), but the town itself was dull and boring (at least the center). Even the tourists there seemed poorer.

“Gigantic!!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

We visited Niagara falls on labor day weekend. The hotels near niagara were expensive, so we stayed at a hotel at about 2 hours drive. We reached an evening prior to our visit as we wanted to start early to avoid crowd.
We bought 'Discovery Pass' online to avoid long queues for purchase of tickets. We headed for 'maid of the mist' first. The boat was half occupied & we got space on the deck & had a great view of both, American & Horseshoe falls. We finished the boat ride by 9:15am. It was bright & sunny. We went to the observation deck after the ride.
Relaxed & walked through to cover other views of the falls(visied on top view of American falls). You can also take a shuttle to visit different points to view the falls closely.
Went for 'Cave of the winds' at about 12pm as we wanted to get wet in the mist at the hurricane deck. Had lunch at a nearby restaurant & saw the movie on the falls at the theatre.
Caught a nap at the garden while the crowds from day tours still poured in for the boat ride & cave of the winds.
The night view was awesome and Canada looked beautiful from American side.
Do look out for rainbows, esp. one under the rainbow bridge.
