We went to Gordie's to shop and eat. The bazaar is packed with so much from "old time" candy to collectables. We spent about an hour and a half just browsing the many shops. Of course we found stuff we could not live without! We then headed to the dining room. There were 8 of us so we had made a reservation as soon as we arrived. The food was excellent and reasonable. The portions were huge. We had to take dessert home with us. We plan to make this an "must see" whenever we go back to visit family.

This is a great place - it's an indoor flea market with many hand made goods a reasonable prices. It's a bakery with home made breads, cakes, cookies, pies and other treats. And it'a a fairly large restaurant w/ a patio for indoor or outdoor eating.

I had the "Steak in the Grass" - Tenderloin topped w/ spinach and provolone. I got the steak med/rare as ordered. It was as tender as could be. Their onion rings are something to feast your eyes on. Huge/ battered/ but not at all greasy. My partner had the pot roast which was like eating Sunday dinner at grandma's. The vegetable barley soup was fresh and homemade. Too full for dessert I'm afraid.

It's a large room w/ plenty of seating but is lacking any ambiance - more of a family place than for couples if you're looking for a romantic setting. But if it's just good food you're after - this is the place. Prices were a little high but no complaints.
