By far the best Italian restaurant in orange county, fresh fish fresh veg. Excellent wait staff, we felt like we were back in Italy at an off the beaten path local restaurant, it is a little pricy but worth every penny, we don't mind paying for excellent food

Had dinner here one night during my trip to Newburgh. Very intimate atmosphere with good service and excellent food. Staff was very personable. I was eating alone and at the bar so I didn't experience the full force of the restaurant but highly recommend it if you like Italian cuisine, good wine and a unique and memorable atmosphere.

A liitle high priced, but my friend and his wife paid. We will return the favor at this nice Italian restaurant. Food excellent, service excellent, and wine selection excellent. There's a bar too, if you're so inclined. A gem about a mile or so off I-84. We spent 3 1/2 hours there and I'm always in a hurry. Highly recommended.

While over-nighting in the area, we discovered this resto through Trip Advisor no less and despite some review complaints of it being over priced, we decided to check it out. Our initial experience wasn't good — we got lost trying to find it but finally arrived 40 min. or so before the kitchen closed (at 9:00pm!). Despite the fact the building looked entirely unremarkable from the outside, we entered and were warmly accommodated from the start.

The food was great... memorable in fact. We'd just spent 4 days vacationing in Manhattan and this was by far the most superior food of the trip, no question. Their approach to Italian food is all about traditional, classic, simplicity, great ingredients, expert preparation.

Between all of the dishes and impressive wines (by the glass) we tried, we couldn't have been more impressed... and we're from a city noted for its restaurants and dining scene, especially Italian. Honestly, we'd be regulars if this kitchen were in our town.

As mentioned, we'd read some reviewer complaints about the prices but frankly, we paid a lot more for meals in Manhattan and yet enjoyed much better food here. On the other end, it certainly can't match the chain spaghetti-house prices so don't even bother if that's your budget. At approximately $60+/person when we dined there, for that quality of food we almost felt we were getting a bargain.

Can't wait to return. Bravo, Il Cena'Colo!

The food here is excellent. For starters I had the sardines over an arugula salad and then tasted the homemade spinach ravioli and the homemade fettuccini with a salmon sauce. Both were delicious. The tiramisu was also very well done. There was a nice selection of wines by the glass. The service was excellent. Delivery of the meals was spaced very nicely and we never felt rushed. One complaint was the special list was longer than the menu. We had to ask several times to repeat so many dishes. With such a large selection they should have had these in print for guests to look over. If they want to avoid a special menu then the number of selections should be reduced. This is a minor point but a waiter explaining specials should not need to spend 10 minutes doing that. Also, the tables can be packed very tight. On my visit my chair was almost touching one at the next table with someone sitting there as well.
