We had dinner at the Lakeview House the day after Thanksgiving (closed on Thanksgiving). The main dining room was filled with a private anniversary party and we were served in a smaller dining room. It didn't matter since it was too dark to enjoy the lake view. Even though there was a large dinner party going on the service was excellent. We started our meal with the most delicious Blue Point Oysters which were so fresh and clean tasting. My wife ordered the rack of lamb while I ordered the Long Island duck. Both dinners came with the same assortment of vegetables of scalloped potatoes, carrots and string beans. The potatoes were a bit on the salty side while the carrots and beans tended to be a bit bland. My wife raved about the lamb while I found the duck a tad too fatty. For desert my wife chose the Key Lime Pie while I caved in for the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée, both of which were excellent as was the service.
