“WHAT A COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Excellent collection. Make sure that you visit the basement as well. You can easily spend the entire day if you read the placard of information beside each motorcycle. Nice gift shop.

“Unexpectedly interesting”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

If you love motorcycles, you need to come here. It shows generations of motorcycles from indian, harley, and pope. I know nothing about them, and I could appreciate the growth and change through this museum. It was interesting and very big. The upstairs showed mostly the gradual improvements from year to year of indian. Downstairs included harley and pope and a lot of other dynamics of motorcycles. It included beer wagons, icecream wagons, and army motorcycles.

“A must see for all bikers”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

This place should be on any bikers "to do" list. Wonderful bikes and memorabilia. Only drawback is that it is open only Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. A group of 11 of us met here, coming from all directions, just to tour the museum and it didn't disappoint. If you are a fan especially of very early bikes, here is the place to come.

“Overwhelming!”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

A mixture of motorcycles from the earliest days all the way through recent classics...

A baker's dozen of friends who go to Americade each year made the trip to Newburgh from various places in NY, southern NJ, and western CT, meeting up for a day's outing. What we found was an eclectic mix of antiques, choppers, customs, specialty machinery (predecessors of snomobiles), racing bikes, hill-climbers, sidehacks, you name it. If it had two (or three, in some cases) wheels, it was probably there. On a few machines patrons are even allowed to sit astride for pictures. Their website says to allow 1-1/2 to 2 hours for the visit. I found that I could have easily spent 4-6 hours there and not seen everything. Definitely worth the price of admission, and I will return again (and again).

Although I was there with friends (which was great), I'd recommend going solo next time to focus more on the bikes and with less emphasis on the socializing. Can't wait to go back, even though it's over 150 miles from home, making for a long day-trip, Maybe next time we'll stay overnight in the area!
