“Come if you like being fleeced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

Went here once for lunch, no menu at the time so we wound up spending $150 for lunch for 2 with two glasses of house wine and splitting a veal chop. The food was OK, nothing more than a neighborhood place. The waitress who was one of the owners was pulling prices out of the air. There are plenty of Italian restaurants, this is one I would never go to again.

“A hidden gem in New Ro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014

Such a great meal! My date and I are both Italian and both LOVED everything. We were given menus but didn't even look at them. Our server, Ellis, was great. He suggested a fabulous bottle of wine and brought out an amazing antipasti spread. The burrata was amazing and so was everything else in front of us. We told Ellis to bring us a pasta dish and a pork dish for our entree and we would share. We didn't want to know ahead of time. He didn't disappoint. Great, great food. I would definitely go back.

“Not what it used to be”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

When Spadaro first opened, we were in love with the quaintness of the space, the fact that you ordered from the waitress and that there were no menus. The last time I was there I was disappointed. Service was lacking; portions are still huge, but food was lackluster. And I was disappointed that they didn't seem to have home made pasta. Sorry, but for this type of a restaurant -- old fashioned italian -- this is the deal breaker.

“New Rochelle gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

This family style restaurant doesn't have menus. It's best to go with at least 4 people or more. The food is delicious. The bouratta is out of this world!

“Where is the family spirit gone?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2014

Spadaro used to be a "boutique" place where you would order what the owner way cooking that day. No menu. A place where you were treated as family by the owners with a big smile. They have now expanded next door and probably tripled the number of tables. Basically, Spadaro has become one of the multiple, regular, not-so-fancy Italian restaurants we have in the area. Not bad, but the spirit is gone. A loss, really.
