“Intimate B & B, great breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is a 200 year old farmhouse located well out of town, not within walking distance of any restaurants or attractions. As a result, it's very quiet and peaceful. Floors are original wide pine boards, and very well cared for, but they are a bit uneven in spots and not quite level. This could be an issue for some folks, but was not a problem for us. Lots of common space available to guests. Only 3 guest rooms, so you are not dealing with large groups of people. We had the Jenkins Suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. The Inn is very well appointed, and the hosts are very gracious. The breakfast was outstanding, personally prepared and served by the owners. We didn't need any lunch that day!

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniverary. Close to the charming and vibrant town of New Paltz and nestled in the midst of the thriving farm-to-table food movement, we can't say enough about this lovely B and B. The rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and spacious. The hosts were gracious and helpful, asking if we needed dinner recommendations or reservations. The breakfast was amazing - home-made frittata with smoked bacon, blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, newspapers waiting to welcome those that want to stay connected to the real world. They even offered to deliver coffee to our room first thing! The house was still scented throughout with the lovely smell of woodsmoke from the winter. The grounds were gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautiful. It was a lovely, seculded spot close to everything!

Spent two nights in July '13 and could not have been happier. This home away from home is pleasant, clean, very tasty breakfast and a room delivery of coffee to boot to get you started. If you are looking for a place in the area you will be writing a positive review after you experience just like me. Did I mention the bath robe, ironed sheets and many more personal touches by Patty and Sean. Experience it for yourself.

Room Tip: Had a big room with a big tub and separate shower. The bathroom was enormous!

Stayed at this lovely B&B over the weekend, the only down side was that it was too short and we should have stayed longer. Patty and Sean are the most gracious hosts, really went out of their way to accommodate us.
The house is impeccably maintained, very charming and with thoughtful touches throughout. Stayed in the the Jenkins Suite which is truly lovely. Breakfast was a three course meal, too much food but had to eat every bite of it since it was so good!
If you're looking to disconnect and relax in a comfortable setting, do not hesitate, this is the place to stay
Head out to Minnewaska State Park for some hiking or biking and have a wonderful meal at A Tavola restaurant in town. You won't regret it!
Laurie H.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here in early June. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We were able to choose a breakfast time convenient for us and the food was great. The hosts were accommodating and offered advice about things to do in the area. We plan on returning when get the chance.

There is a reason why this place has nothing but "excellent" reviews. It is a magical place owned by wonderful people. It is beautifully decorated and kept up and creates an atmosphere of charming old farmhouse mes luxory and elegance. The breakfast is outstanding...three courses of culinary bliss!! We will be back :)

Spent 2 nights here last weekend for our 32nd Anniversary. Patty & Sean are such gracious hosts. Warm, friendly & hospitable...but never in the way .. This was our first B & B experience.. we could not have asked for a better way to start! The house was so lovely.. tons of natural light- gorgeous wide plank floors.. the attention to detail everywhere you went showed the pride our hosts take in their home. We stayed in the Hunter Room on the first floor.. it was so welcoming and comfortable.. and SPOTLESS . IMMACULATE ( the whole house ) - the bathroom was so clean it looked like we were the first people ever to use it!! The gas casting stove kept us cozy... the little decorative touches.. they really thought of everything.. Now let's talk about the breakfasts.. Patty's cooking was so creative, delicious & satisfying..and eating in the lovely dining room in front of the huge fireplace while Sean stoked the fire was a special touch.. We did not need to eat until dinner, but yet the meals were light.. we did not feel stuffed - just full & happy!!

It's a small and intimate place, and we can't wait to return in the summer so that we can enjoy the grounds.( and to check out the other rooms! ). We love the Hudson Valley area and as my husband said.. why try anywhere else? we will just stay here!

Can't speak highly enough of this place - It's a must go to!!
