“Wonderful, friendly environment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2011

We recently had the pleasure of visiting this winery and were very pleased by the professionalism of the people hosting the wine sampling. The wines were excellent. The view was stupendous! It was a very welcoming, relaxing experience. We strenuously disagree with the prior report that the owners and helpers at the winery were rude. Perhaps your attitude needed adjusting? When people are treated with respect, they return the favor in kind.

“Best Winery in the Hudson Valley”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2011

While doing one of the wine trail events, I made my husband make a detour and we came across this beautiful winery. The wines were amazing but what really made this place special is the staff. They are extremely friendly, and one of the really family run wineries in the hudson valley. I can't wait to visit again.

A very warm and welcoming family. It is a lovely place to imbibe. Outside the view is pristine, I could sit there for hours and enjoy the superb wine and Robibero company.

“Don't Bother”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2010

My Husband and I enjoy visiting wineries and have been lucky enough to be able to visit many in the NY tri-state area. In the past we have toured the Shawangunk Wine Trail and stopped at Rivendell Winery. This Winery closed, and is now under new ownership, which we decided to visit this past weekend. We had an awful time. Never before have we been so mistreated and insulted at a winery. The individuals offering tastes were not knowledgeable about the wine. It would be caddy to go into detail about the specific individuals, but at one point we were laughed at while trying to ask questions. We left curtly and will never return. If you want a quality wine-tasting experience, avoid this winery.

“A Great New Vineyard”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2010

Outstanding, and better than 2 other wineries we visited on the same day. Parking was convenient, they have a lovely mountain view, nice outdoor picnic tables (needed shady umbrellas) and a well-placed handicapped ramp into a large and cool, comfortable tasting room. They have pledged to always have a family member-owner doing tastings behind the counter vs. the kids we were served by at the other places. This made a huge difference in the enjoyment level. Let's face it, wine tasters are mostly of "a certain age"; and it is much more fun to interact with someone you can relate to. The kids who worked at the other places had little to no wine knowledge and added nothing to our enjoyment of visiting the wineries. Carol was our host at Robibero's and she was such fun! She was also generous with cashew nuts and chocolates that enhanced the tasting. She mentioned they will be adding food service in the near future. I can not wait! It takes away from "the chase" to stop at a restaurant; and it makes sense to eat substantial food while tasting wine. I hope they will consider adding an enhanced tasting. Wouldn't it be fun, for a few dollars more, to add a cheese plate, salami, grapes, nuts, chocolates, etc. to a wine tasting? It would help you experience how the wine complements different food, too. Looking forward to visiting them again. Add it to your wine trail list!
