We hade reservations at 7 pm. We ordered our meals and when the waitress brought our salads out 20 minutes later she informed us that they had run out of bread. Then and hour and a half later we still had not received our entrees. Nobody came to our table to explain or apologize. I flagged down our waitress and inquired about out order. She said she would look into it that they were very far behind. We did finally get our meals 10 minutes later. The food quality was average at best. The vegetable lasagna was only 2 layers, had literally no vegetables in it except one small piece of broccoli, 2 carrot slices, a zucchini slice and 1 mushroom. Honestly, Stouffer's frozen lasagna is better. Very disappointing as this restaurant has fantastic reviews!

Smells incredible when you walk in the door-they do specialize in Lasagna and sea food-menu is kind of sparse outside of that. Appetizers were great

I must first start by saying the lone young waitress Julianne is efficient, energetic and friendly. The menu choices plentiful. And the best of all the pasta made in house fresh daily!! All our orders were divine and large enough for two. Bread fresh but very cold (should serve warm and would be perfect.) Bread served with individual pats of butter. However I asked for evoo and balsalmic and she cheerfully bought to table with red pepper and cheese! This poor girl was waiting on 8 tables alone and never broke a stride. She did call for back up and her help arrived within minutes. When things settled down she did have a nice conversation with us and you could tell she really enjoyed her job. I will tell you all food was excellent but avoid the cookies not made in house and were stale upon arrival home...disappointing. The desserts sounded good and looked delicious but were were stuffed. I guess the word is out... best little Italian restaruant and opened for lunch too. The only reason I am giving the service 4/5 is because with her lack of help we waited a long time for drinks and food which wasn't her fault. She explained that the had a unusal amount of activity due to a show playing down the street and they weren't made aware of and ran out of the home made ravioli :(

So I'm writing this review for people like us. We're Brooklynites who like good food and are pretty picky about where we eat. And I'm a vegetarian, complicating things even further. All of this causes problems when we leave the city and venture into parts of the country where most options are Sysco-supplied chain restaurants that serve poor quality food slathered in cheese and salt. That may sound snarky, but unfortunately it's pretty true for much of the country.

We were vacationing in the Finger Lakes recently and needed to find a place to eat near Geneseo. The pickings were pretty slim, so we decided to go with this place in nearby Mount Morris based on the Tripadvisor reviews. And we crossed our fingers.

Questa isn't gourmet, and it isn't dazzling. But it's solid, with fresh pasta and decent salads. Sure, it's not perfect--the salads were a tad overdressed, and the sauce that came with the spaghetti and meatballs was a little on the sweet side. But we had a satisfying, tasty dinner in an area with very few options. With so little competition, Questa doesn't have to be as good as it is. Yet our dinner there was far better than the meal we ate at one of Rochester's better restaurants the night before. If we're ever in the area again, this will be our dinner choice.
