“Great Place.. with a great breakfast”
Reviewed November 20, 2011

Bob and Becky are both great people. Becky's breakfasts are to die for. All we have been talking about since we left was the breakfast. The hot tub was awesome. Bob took us on a wine tour and he knew all about the wineries. I would definitely recommend you use Bobs towncar service. Bob is a great guy with a lot of great stories. They have dogs there but we never heard them barking, and they are friendly(and fun to play with)..

We give this place an A++++

We will defintely be back!

The couple who run this place, are among the most rude I have ever met. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B because of the proximity to the wineries and it certainly was a good choice. There was easy access to lots of wineries around Lake Seneca and Lake Keuka. Becky, the innkeeper, had chosen a room for us with a large bathroom, but we had decided to switch to a room with a Pretty view of Lake Seneca. My only complaint about the room was that the bathroom was extremely small..our choice, though. Becky 's a great cook and very personable. We had something different and absolutely scrumptious every morning for breakfast. We would definitely stay at this B& B again.

Room Tip: A couple of the bathrooms are small. Just ask about the size in the room you choose.

Innkeeper left message on answering machine that one of our three rooms was cancelled. When questioned, all three rooms were cancelled with no explanation. Can only assume they got a better offer or longer stay perhaps. Very unprofessional.

Room Tip: Do not count on your confirmation, we couldn't.

You won't find a better deal than this one in the Finger Lakes area. We've stayed here each year for the last four years and plan to come back each year. Three of the rooms are very large and two of them have outside "decks" (one with a view of Seneca Lake) just off the rooms. Beds are very firm and comfortable. Bathrooms completely stocked with everything you need including hair dryers, soap, shampoo, etc. Large comfortably furnished downstairs parlor left open at all hours for guests to read, play cards, chess, or relax. Read the other reviews below about the best breakfasts in any B&B or Hotel I've ever been in! This is their strong suit! House is an authentic (built in 1901) large "mansion style" NYS home... NOT a brand new chrome & plastic Hotel like the $350/night place at the foot of the lake.

Becky is wonderful and engaged with her guests. Don't know why some find Bob daunting... yes he is an ex Marine, but has always been very friendly and helpful to us (and I don't "fit in" with the military) and we think he's a great guy! We've never had to settle up until we left, so I don't know what's going on with the review that said they had to pay as the entered with their luggage. Maybe they looked shady. We've stayed many other places in the Finger Lakes (Wife and I used to live in Dundee NY growing up, so we know the area) and they don't hold a candle to this B&B for price/value/ ambience. Stay here once, and you'll be back.

Room Tip: Pick one of the two "front rooms"... the largest and with views of a "rather far away...

My husband and I stayed at 'Bout Time last weekend for an anniversary wine-tasting getaway. From the minute we walked in the door to the second we left, Becky and Bob were nothing but wonderful to us. We had a great room with the most comfortable bed (the one with the french doors). Bob took us around to the different wineries one day and was a great tour guide. He even offered to drive us to and from dinner if we were still a bit tipsy from the wine tasting! Becky's breakfasts were delish, especially the eggs benedict and stuffed french toast. We'd recommend this b&b to anyone wanting to stay in the Montour Falls/Watkins Glen area.

Room Tip: Ask for the king room with the french doors..big bedroom, big bathroom and has a small balcony as we...

We were never informed we had to pay the remainder of our fee THE SECOND we stepped foot in the door with arms full of luggage. Please be informed you do, eventhough it is typical with ALL OTHER B&Bs to pay the day you leave. Also, the ex-Marine husband acts like it's a military base and you are a soldier. No smiles and rude personality. The room was pretty small, eventhough they tried to gain space by shoving the head of the bed into the closet. Also, there was a chair in the corner likely to cover the baseboard heater barely clinging to the wall. The soap in the bathroom smelled terrible. And I don't just mean a scent I personally don't like. It smelled like it was old and in the bottle for the last 5 years. Everything needs updating! Thankfully, the breakfasts were fantastic, but we will never return nor advise others to stay there.
