The food is usually very good, somewhat inconsistent, however. I have had the best chicken, boned, next time, bone in. Very good cedar planked salmon, sometimes very soupy lobster Mac & cheese, sometimes to die for. Good drinks, wine, staff good. Funky, but, cool decorating going on. Give it a try, it's worth it!

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant with friends on several occasions. While the interior of the restaurant is a bit dated and the atmosphere is unremarkable, the food and service have consistently been excellent. The wiener schnitzel (to die for!), the panco-crusted haddock (crunchy exterior/moist interior), the rack of lamb, the scallops, the planked salmon, the gigantic rib eye steak, etc. have all been superb. The prices are reasonable for food of this quality, with entrees ranging from about $15 to $30. The Culinary Institute of America-trained chef, Chris Camillo, will occasionally come into the dining room and discuss the specials and desserts with diners and make suggestions when things are not busy.

It is surprising that this restaurant has never been crowded when we've been there, despite the excellent food and service and moderate prices. Not even on Saturday nights. Perhaps this is because the exterior is somewhat run down looking, or because the location, at the intersection of State Routes 17K and 208, is a bit removed from the center of Montgomery. Too bad, it's really a gem.

Camillo's is located in a nondescript old house. Once inside every preconceived notion disappears. The food is outstanding, the service and the variety of choices is excellent. Each part of the meal is memorable and the cost is more than reasonable. A common event is diners upon leaving, asking the chef what is in and how do you prepare this dish. Go and enjoy.

The food was sooo good. Amazing salad dressing, and the staff and chef were really easy going and accommodating. Everything I tried was fantastic...the pasta sauce, the eggplant rollatini. Everything seemed fresh. Good service too!
