Stayed here after not coming back 4 years.
The place looks clean and money is surely being spent by owners to fix up the units interiors. The room cleaners are formely from Panoramic a score for visitors to DRIFTWOOD they really know how to clean. The manager is pleasant. There are renovated and un renovated rooms but from what I hear there are about a half a dozen more rooms in the wroks for next season to be renovated. This is a warm place to be at the beach. Its relaxing and clean and the heated pool is nice . They have a workout gym in the lounge area, and bike racks being installed. Shufflebaord and ping pong for all too.
Cyrils right across the street. Many fancy renters of big houses will find there way here this summer cause the beach is topp notch.

My son has been dreaming about our next trip here all winter. This is a special place for kids and families. Don't come here if you are looking for Hampton's attitude or trying to make the scene. Don't come if you don't like kids running around! Do come if you are looking to relax and chill out. My advice though is definitely make sure you get a renovated room. Plus we had a friend stay last year and his room had no kitchen - so it's important to specify what you need etc.

All of the negatives I've read in the reviews are true!!! Our carpet was filthy as well, another family we met had tile flooring instead in an updated unit & complained of the floor being filthy also. Everyones feet were black within a half hour at night. Our comfortor was stained as well. The cleaning service is quite poor. Our unit was not updated in eons and water flowed into the bathroom through the wall where the tub was when the people next door showered. It was obvious that there was a problem with the bathroom as much of the grouting was missing from the tiles, rust on metal surfaces etc. The unit smelled like urine when we arrived, better with the a/c on, no other units available. Until the people came next door I didn't know what it was. The unit is for sale, wonder why! The unit was very hot despite the a/c in the bedroom portion, there was no air flow, even with the ceiling fan on, very uncomfortable. No vent out for cooking so the alarms go off, 20 mins or so before anyone even checks!! a neighbor stopped by, no staff. Unfortunately the staff you deal with up front are unfriendly. However, maintenance staff very helpful & friendly once you get to them. My son sustained a large splinter/chunk of wood from the boardwalk, they gave me a rediculous plastic tweezer that did not line up & bent!!! when I returned to the office no one could even look me in the face, they obviously knew. The maintenance fellow went to his unit & came back with the needed suppliles to handle it. No view from the units as well due to high dunes. The pool was well chlorinated & clear but could have been vacuumed which would have made it perfect. The game room & bathrooms near the pool also smelled of urine despite windows being open.
All of that being said we had a great time, weather & company were excellent, as always it's what you bring to it & make of it.

The Driftwood is one of the nicest places to stay in the world! The staff and management are wonderful. The rooms are clean and up to date. The view is great! The pool is heated and clean! The grounds are well kept. When you walk out to the ocean, the staff is right there with lounges and umbrellas! There is so much to say about the Driftwood and the amenities! Many of our friends and relatives visit it!
Keep up the good work, Harold and crew and we will be back!!!

I recently stayed in a renovated room at the Driftwood for a Girls Getaway weekend. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was adorable. We could sit outside in the sun and grill, or take a short walk down to the beach. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It wasn't glamourous by any means, but it was suitable for a casual weekend vacation.
