Description: Thank you for an amazing season together. We will be re-opening on May 1st 2016 ------ Gosman's Restaurant, located on the edge of the Montauk Harbor, has the best seafood this side of the Mississippi with incredible views to match. We are Montauk's favorite seafood restaurant serving up the freshest seafood around. We have our very own fish market, so we're able to serve our seafood straight from boat to kitchen. Make sure to try one of our lobster dishes, they are pretty spectacular and we make them every which way possible. Soak up the good vibes and enjoy the beauty of the Montauk Harbor as you relax on our outdoor patio sipping an ice cold beer. We have breathtaking views that will help ease your stress away. Gosman's Dock Restaurant is a great place to celebrate any occasion. We offer a variety of options and different packages to accommodate the different parties and gatherings here in Montauk. We take pride in serving the best seafood this side of the Mississippi and can't wait for you to join us for lunch, dinner, drinks and a scenic view to remember.

“If you are out East Gosmans is a must”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

A great place to spend a few hours browsing in the shops and then eating. Good choice of food and you can eat indoors if it's a special occasion and outdoors if it's just lunch and watching the boats coming and going. Just beware of the gulls!

“Great location but indifferent service and food”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

There must be better places to eat lobster, but the view was great - right on the waterfront. It was a little windy, so they were not serving on the deck - which we would have preferred.
Although they were not over-busy, we waited ages for our server to bring us water and take an order. Plenty of other servers around, but no co-operation from them. Eventually we asked the hostess and she brought tea.
We were persuaded to have twin lobster tails - when I would have preferred fresh steamed lobster. The fact that the flesh was stuck to the shell indicated to me that this creature was not recently alive.
$53 seems a little pricey - look at the pic.

“Sitting by the dock of the bay...”

I love sitting outside eating at Gosman's. Two steps from the ocean. Freshest fish I've ever had! The indoor dining room is comfortable; however, the ambience comes directly from the water.

“Good food, great view”
Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

Service was good, possibly a little over powering considering the restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday at the end of September. The New England Chowder was great and the Oysters very fresh. The Lobster roll is not to be missed and the potato salad side was really, really good. Nice place on the water and not expensive.

“Who knows / cares what the food tastes like; the experience is appalling”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We were on vacation with my family and booked a table for eight adults and two babies. We were advised on the phone that strollers were not permitted and we should bring a car seat for our 11 week old baby. On arrival, we were provided with a high chair that doubles as a seat for car seats. We duly placed our baby in his car seat on the device. When our waitress was handing out drinks, she toppled the seat and our baby fell to the floor. We were devastated. The waitress was hugely apologetic but the manager did not come to speak with us. My husband asked the waitress if she had advised her manager of the incident; she had. So we asked that she ask the manager to come over to speak for us. The manager (Pamela Drumn) took her time and then said, "Bianca said you wanted to speak with me", as if she was unaware that something untoward had happened; we were just sickened. The manager took zero responsibility for the incident, behaved somewhat smugly and when we asked for the bill, she again made us wait. We were appalled at our treatment and asked that the restaurant call us the following day; we're still waiting. As for the food, who knows what it tastes like and who cares when the management is so appalling?
