We stopped by to get lunch for four and found out they only took cash. The friendly man behind the counter directed us to an ATM “around the corner” and promised to start our order in the meantime, so it would be ready when we came back. We returned after about 20 minutes, because “around the corner” was a fair schlep, and the order was not ready. We didn’t mind, because we wouldn’t expect anyone to start an order until it was paid for. People can go to an ATM and never come back. The nice man took our money and neglected to give back $2 change. We reminded him about it. He made the change. We settled in to wait.

He came up to us and started giving a long explanation about why the $2 was an honest mistake. OK. We weren’t questioning it. We kept waiting. He came back and apologized for the wait, the apology quickly morphing into defensiveness. He claimed we had been waiting “only” 10 minutes. We pointed out, as a matter of factual correction, that it’s been 20. He started raising his voice and arguing that “10, 20, what’s the difference?!?!?!” We kept waiting. He got louder and started demanding to know what it is we do for a living that we are so picky about an extra 10 minutes when “people are working as fast as they can.” We kept waiting. He started screaming, “This is unacceptable!!!” We agreed. “Do you still want your food?” Yes. He went on, “This is some kind of f***ing bull***!!!! You know what, I’m going to give you back your money!” I said, “That sounds like a fair compensation for keeping us waiting much longer than you promised. You will still give us our food, right?” He started opening and closing the cash register with loud banging and yelling, “Hell no! Imma give you your money back!!! I’m not giving you any food!!!” I pointed out that in that case, he had just wasted 40 minutes of our time. He started yelling that it was us who were wasting his time. I asked, how so? He couldn’t explain how us standing there, looking none too pleased but not picking fights, just not agreeing with the answers he was offering to questions nobody asked, was wasting his time. He violently threw around a few small, lightweight objects, and stormed out. His cowed, subdued fry staff quietly asked me if we still wanted the food. Yes. They apologetically handed me the two boxes.

That was four orders of fish tacos, two tacos in each, $17.95/per order, almost $80 total. The tacos there are truly delicious. You decide if you want to risk the service from a man who makes up an entire fight in his head and pitches a tantrum at his customers.

A local Montauk friend recommended this place and we ate there 3 times in a 7 day span! Their Taco's are great- shrimp or fish- and priced fairly. Chowder and Coconut shrimp are also wonderful. I would pass on the baked clams.... It is located next door to Montauk Brewery which is a major plus (although you technically cannot bring beer to your table). Management and the Jamaican staff are delightful. Run don't walk to this excellent establishment for lunch or dinner. Many restaurants in Montauk are priced too high and really not worth it so this was an excellent find.

A staff who I think is the owner or upper management is racist. 7 of us (Hispanic, Asian, and White) saw a bunch of people buy beer from the brewery next door and take it to St. Peter's Catch to sit, drink, and order food, so we assumed we could do the same. As soon as we sat down, the owner (I believe) came out and told us that he didn't have a liquor license and that we can't drink there, and to leave. There were at least 3 other tables openly drinking beer. We told him and he said he would need to tell them too but never did. We saw a bunch more people plainly carrying beers over there to sit after we got kicked out. Plus, not having a liquor license means you can't serve alcohol but it's fine to bring it there - that's how BYOBs work. You see photos of beer here on Yelp and on their facebook page. When we went back to politely ask him why he did that, he was smug and defensive, and still did nothing about all the other people drinking outside. Obviously he was just discriminating against us. All the guests were white and all the servers/cleaning staff that I saw were black. This place does not deserve anyone's business. Do not go here!

Lobster roll and fish and chips were mediocre, however the coconut shrimp was very good. Owner was rude and fyi - it's a cash only restaurant.

Good (better than average) casual fish restaurant. Order at the counter. Lobster roll made with butter rather than mayo. Fish and chips very fresh and hot but a bit greasy.
