Stayed at the Montauk Manor 2/16-2/18. Family of four. Rooms are actually apartments owned by individuals. Each is decorated differently and has a wide range of amenities Our room had a loft for the sleeping area...kids loved it because they could see down into the den/kitchen area and felt like it was a big family sleepover. We will book again and bring the grandparents with us. They have one, two, and three bedroom suites. Food is excellent, indoor pool is the cleanest, hot-tub is small...max of 4 people...but how many people do you want to hot-tub with? A free shuttle will take you anywhere around town...restaurants, beaches, etc. and back.

We have stayed here before and it is fantastic. If you want to be in a place away from the center of town in the summer this is the place.

Went in the offseason. Montauk was empty and peaceful. The Manor was perfect for a romantic weekend. Staff were helpful and friendly. Views of the ocean from our room were excellent. Our room was on the top floor facing east. The manor was absolutely empty but this just added to the excellence of the weekend.

We rented a one bedroom suite for two nights in January. Beautiful facility set high on a hill overlooking the water near downtown Montauk. Common areas were very clean and nicely decorated. The spacious lobby is a step back in time to a more gracious era with multiple sitting areas and two fireplaces. There is a large, heated, indoor pool along with a jacuzzi and separate saunas for men and women, and an on-site spa which we did not visit. All clean and well maintained. Service was excellent and friendly. There is also a moderately priced restaurant on the premises that does a nice job serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also do room service. Highly recommended. Just be aware that much of Montauk shuts down for the winter.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have great views. We specifically asked for one and got it.

The hotel is well-situated atop a hill overlooking Fort Bay and the town of Montauk. It has a great aura, especially in the wintry fog and rain, and you are welcomed in to a large impressive lobby. The rooms are less appealing as they generally seem to have little if any character (same for hallways), which seems to result from being privately owned, although the one-bedroom suites are well laid out with 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen. We did not have any room service.

The gym is not accessible with your room key and you need to go to the front desk to get a specific, "gym-only" key - kind of a hassle for those wanting to use it. The indoor pool was nice but given its small size, it fills up quickly, as does the jacuzzi. The on-site restaurant was fine, the food is not very impressive but there aren't a whole lot of options for dining out in January.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view.

Great winter escape! The hilltop Manor is architecturally impressive with a welcoming lobby decorated for the holiday season. The staff was hospitable & accommodating. Our studio, with a pleasant ocean-view of Fort Pond Bay, was clean and comfortable but lacked the character of the resort itself. Apparently room quality varies since many are privately owned and furnished (we were very pleased with our room, #226, while another guest was quite vocal about their disappointment with room #134 during check-out). Take the train to Montauk and the Manor’s complimentary shuttle will drive you anywhere in the area. If visiting in the off-season, double check the restaurants since many were not open despite contradicting information on Yelp and other websites.

Room Tip: Room 226 is a winner. #134 is not.

What a beautiful hotel! Sitting atop a hill in Montauk with great water views, it was the perfect setting for our family function this weekend. It was our first visit, highly recommended by numerous people we know, and as we found out, with very good reason. The lobby is the showcase. It is a grand area, with multiple seating areas, 2 with fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and it's THE place to relax, read, or in our case, take a few bottles of wine and have a party! It also has a small cozy restaurant and bar, and our dinner party went flawlessly and the food was excellent. The hotel staff is very attentive, especially Kathy at the front desk. She was the best, and took great care of us, from the time I booked it with her right on through our stay. We're already talking about our next stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Manor for a weekend of relaxation and it was exceptional! The staff was very helpful, the services are excellent. We are Newyorkers so we we on the LIRR which is literally 5min away from the Manor- They picked us up from the station on their free Shuttle- which the drivers are super accomodating and helpful(specially Jose!) They would drive you in to twon or closest attraction and pick you back up when you're ready to return or go to the next place! I was amazed! We stayed in a studio which was fully furnished, kitchenet, dining table, pots, full fridge, etc! The view from the manor is breathtaking! You wont regret going there!

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious. RM 430 has a view to the garden.
