“Second time there and had even a better time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

We arrived this weekend for the murder mystery event. We went with two other couples and shared a two bedroom accommodation with one of the couples. The large living room had ocean views on two sides as did the master bedroom. Wonderfully furnished rooms with comfortable plush sofas and chairs. The mattresses were a bit firm. The service was great and they even gave us an extra night-free!
The mystery was a lot of fun and we met a lot of people. Can't beat the price...and the breakfasts and lunches were great. One advantage that's huge is that a van can take you out for excursions and bring you back.(so you can drink at dinner and not worry about driving)
A really fun clean place! We loved it!

This hotel is a bit pricey, but,the builiding is very impressive and the grounds are amazing. We had stayed here off season, and it was a bit chilly, but cozy. I'm not sure how things are during the height of the summer, but we had a pleasant stay.

This hotel has a terrible customer service policy, and staff. My family had to cancel our reservations due to Superstorm Sandy and the general manager here refused to help or accommodate us. We are out a deposit and vacation and will never recommend this facility to any friends or family. The general manager had even berated me on the phone for attempting to recoup our deposit, and ended our conversation with hanging up the phone on me. I'm a mother of 3, and was appalled at her behavior. Do your family a favor and book with a hotel that has a better customer service policy!!

First the flowers

Nice view , food is pretty good, we went during the winter so not much of an outdoor activity but its scenic. clean room . HANDS DOWN EXTREMELY FRIENDLY STAFF . ( We changed room thrice , they did that with a smile ). Also their rate is the best at that time of the year . they gave us a night free .

Now the Thorns

if you have stayed in a modern hotel , then you should stay away from his place . You will not like a bit of it . Very very outdated. Take those glasses out of the rooms please . you have covered glasses from wardrobe to wall and everywhere. how many times do i have to look at my self !!!! some rooms have squeaky beds , not really a fault but worth mentioning. excessive use of picture or artifacts. even if its not needed.

very strict policy.

Really the rate you are charging i can afford an ultra modern room in any other part of the world.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk , they will give you the best room , Tell them your needs even if you want to sta...

We booked last minute reservations and were able to get a king suite on the third floor with a balcony. They said there was a partial view but we had a pretty good view of the water and interior courtyard. The room was dated but clean. I don't expect fancy in Montauk and this definitely wasn't, but it was great nonetheless. The lobby of the hotel is lovely, we enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire upon arrival.

We didn't have dinner at the restaurant but we did use the breakfast vouchers we were given for one morning. Read them carefully - not everything is included as we learned. The waitress was kind enough to reduce our bill which was nice seeing as it was our fault for not reading it fully. The service in the restaurant was slow, and the food was just ok. I recommend going elsewhere if you can. I had a massage one afternoon which was lovely. There is no spa but the treatment room was serene and totally fine.

We really enjoyed our experience and plan to return next spring.

As always, Montauk Manor does not disapppoint! The accommodations are beautiful, the grounds lovely and the staff always welcoming and friendly. Even during the "off season", the Manor is so welcoming and lovely.

Room Tip: Talk to the front desk and let them know what you're looking for. These amazing people can point...

Last weekend I stayed in a handicap- and wheel-chair accessible room at the Montauk Manor. It was a lovely, well layed-out, and friendly suite of rooms. Moreover, even though the hotel was built around the 1920's, the lobby and public spaces were easy to wheel around -- not perfect, but good enough. Sipping wine by the fire in the grand old lobby was quite a pleasure.
I actually vacation a lot in our own Montauk co-op. Because I broke my ankle I could not go up the two flights of stairs to get into my home, so going to the Manor was a delighful option. One night we dined there at Tres Bella, one night at Harvest, one lunch was at Joni's and one at John's Pancake house -- all quite nice, especially in the supposed "off season". Going for a wheel chair spin around the empty March campground at Hither Hills was a big thrill.
The one caveat at the Manor is that each apartment is owned and decorated by individuals -- so there is a degree of variance in individual rooms.
This is my first experience being wheelchair- and crutch-bound, and have learned a new sympathy for those who remain adventurous, but have difficulty getting around. Trip advisor should make that a category for evaluation.
