Owner description: White Post Farms is the number one attraction for kids and adults on Long Island, New York! We have a one-of-a-kind animal farm and petting zoo along with two massive bird aviaries where you can feed & observe beautiful parakeets, lorikeets, budgies cockatiels & love birds. We have pony rides, train rides, bouncers, playground equipment and the list goes on and on! Make sure to stop by and take a “selfie” with our sweet baby giraffe, Patches! We also offer spectacular children’s birthday parties in beautiful, renovated party rooms. You will have a hostess run the entire party for you and each child will get a pony ride, feed the animals on the animal farm. Each guest will also get to hold & pet a baby animal and feed the goats & sheep with baby bottles. White Post Farms assures you & your family an unforgettable birthday party for your special one!

I've been going to White Post for more than 20 years. It's transformed itself from a little farm stand into something one-step shy of a full-on amusement park. It's got a petting zoo, some basc rides, and a whole lot of family friendly farm-activities. Great place to go for fall activities, but be warned it can be pricey and with huge crowds.

While there's not much reason to visit most of the 'farm' without kids, there's a shop (pre-dates the rest of the attraction) which sell great sandwiches, fresh produces, plants, and 'country-style' foods.

All in all, perhaps a bit tacky, but as close to 'rural state fair' feel as you're likely to find in Melville.

Took the kids here several times over the years for any holiday event they offered. A nice place to visit with family. Go on your lunch break and feel like you're in the countryside.

White Post has a great section of plants and a great attraction for kids with the animals, pony rides, train ride, play houses. I love the bird area where you can feed the birds and they will land on you to eat the seed pops. But most of all I love the food at white post they make amazing wraps and sandwiches. The bread is to die for with the spinach dip. There salsa looks and tastes so homemade. There pies are great too. If you go to white post you have to go in the market and try some of there foods. I have used them for parties and lunch-ins as well.

This place is way overpriced. The admission for myself and two kids was $50bucks. I'd say say it's more like a zoo than a farm. The 1 minute pony ride is another $5 bucks per child. The bird area is extra.. not sure how much cause we skipped that one. It was really crowded the day we went and it was a school day. Can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. Left after an hour. There are many more farms on Long Island better than this one... Long Island Game farm or the Animal farm petting zoo in Manorville... Not worth the money.
