“Perfect stopover for an Erie Canal Bike Tour”
Reviewed August 18, 2011

We recently stayed at Historic Village Bed and Breakfast while biking the Erie Canal. Our hosts were very welcoming and the accommodations were comfortable as well as elegant.
Betty and her husband understood the needs of cyclists, and had a safe place to secure our bikes overnight, they even helped us carry the panniers upstairs. The B&B is within walking distance of restaurants which made this a very convenient stop. Breakfast was a treat, wish I had a bigger appetite! I highly recommend the Historic Village Bed and Breakfast to anyone stopping in Medina.

We stayed for one night in the Canal Room. It was beautifully decorated and had every emenity one needs for a most pleasant stay. Betty and Reinhold are super friendly and the whole home, inside and out is gorgeous. It was our first time at a b&b and we will definetly use them again when we visit family or Niagra Falls next year.

This is a very beautifully renovated Victorian home where we stayed while travelling to a funeral in Medina. The home itself is wonderful. Our bedroom and bathroom was large, luxurious and extremely clean. The hosts were very accomodating when we weren't sure if we needed to stay a second night. They told us we could leave our luggage at their B&B aand let them know after the funeral whether we would stay another night. We were able to go back, change and then leave Medina. Breakfast was great and the yard is lovely.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in the Medina area, this is it. Beautifully restored Victorian. Walking distance to town and two good restaurants. Proprietor Betty provided the perfect balance of attention and respect for privacy. Excellent breakfast. WiFi. Complementary bottle of wine! http://www.historicvillagebedandbreakfast.com/index.htm

The hosts were lovely and accommodating, and even mailed me the earring that I had left behind. Huge bathroom, clean and well-kept. Great beds, bathrobes and towels. The Inn is very convenient to the Erie Canal towpath for biking. A short walk away is Zambistro where we had a wonderful dinner prepared by a CIA chef, and even closer is The Shirt Factory for lunch. Bring your suit for the outdoor hot tub. Highly recommended.
