We've been to the tasting room before and decided to take a quick couple days off and stay a weekday night at the farmhouse. It was great. The rooms -- including the bathrooms -- are clean, simple, up-to-date and right in keeping with the farmhouse look. A lot of the stuff looks like it was purchased from Target and I mean that in a good way. In late afternoon, we spent some quiet time on the front porch with a glass of wine, reading and looking out over the fields. The owners encourage you to walk through the vineyards, so we did that and we also walked a bit through the neighborhood. This inn is off the beaten path, so you're away from the two main wine roads that can sometimes get busy. The wines are probably the best on Long Island and unlimited tasting is included in your stay, as is the wonderful and innovative breakfast (we had banana smoothies, scones and smoked duck hash). Since the inn only serves eight guests at the maximum, everyone sits around a big breakfast table at 9:30. We were fortunate to meet two great couples and we plan to stay in touch with one. Overall, this is well worth the money, especially on weekdays in the summer, when you can otherwise pay $200-$300 for a room in some fleabag motel in this area. We would definitely return.
One suggestion: we think we were dealing with the owners at various times, but they never introduced themselves. That would have been a nice and simple touch. Otherwise, it was a great experience.
