Le Bamboo Hotel & Restaurant

Stayed two days at Le Bamboo before heading to India. Le Bamboo was the best place I stayed in Mauritius. The owners were very helpful to guide me around and do whatever they can to make me feel comfortable and at home. They even offered to me the dinners free of charge - nice Mauritian dishes. The one day tour to the south of the island with Reshma was very pleasant and nice. I shall definitely visit them again!!!!

Room Tip: choose a room in their new apartment.

I found the Bamboo guesthouse on the Internet. Guests have to use the kitchen in their messy flat for breakfasted. To make a cup of tea I was offered to use their dirty kitchen and filthy fridge on the balcony. Breakfast, was prepared only after 8 am; when I arrived at the kitchen the maid first had to clean all dirty dishes from nigth before preparing us tee, bread jam and one egg. Breakfast and inner were served in the family kitchen. On day 2 the lady of the house invited me for dinner; it was tinned fish and rice, prepared in a hurry as she had to get clients from the airport. My room was very noisy at night; with lots of dogs barking. Definitely overpriced for what they offer.

Room Tip: Orient guest house

We had a great time at Le Bamboo, and are 100% satisfied with our stay. Good location, nice rooms, but most importantly - the owners are the friendliest, most including people you can imagine. Not only did we have breakfast in their kitchen every morning, but they also invited us for dinner one night. Everything we ate was simply wonderful. A great place to stay if you want to get to know the locals, as you should!

Le Bamboo is simply great. I had an excellent stay there. THe staff was fabulous, friendly, cheerful and so friendly. The local food was quite an experience for me and was absolutely delicious. I like the room -exotic decoration and clean. Great view over the river and mountain. iTs proximity to town centre and the bus station makes it practical

Had a very nice and pleasant stay at Le Bamboo. I booked for one night but stayed there for six days. I enjoyed the good local food (the farata) and fish curry!!!!!. The room was very good and everything worked out perfectly. Reshma and her husband made me feel like home and provided me with all information about the island which made my displacements easy. The bus station is at walking distance.

We only stayed at Le Bamboo for one night on a stopover from Kuala Lumpur to Madagascar. The journey from KL had been difficult due to a series of unfortunately events. But Le Bamboo were so very friendly and made everything so easy that we soon forgot our journey.

One night in Mauritius wasn't enough. When we return, we'll definitely come back to Le Bamboo. Highly recommended.

There is no Cleaniness in rooms and in toilets. Mosquitos will be there.
Rooms are very small. Bed are very uncomfortable.
TV and Internet(wifi) is not working in your room.
AC is working.
Wooden partition so noise level is very high.
You can check mail only in dining room.
There is not any restuarent.
You have to take food only in family dining room.
In breakfast, only jam bread or omlette after waiting half an hour.
That expereince was not good.
In this rate you will get very good hotels with good facitlity.
This hotel is good for female because family is nice.
But still it is expensive as compare to other.
