“A fun place to be!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I first met Tracy at a Zumba fundraiser. We had so much fun. She told my sister, friend and I she had a retraunt in Lyons, and we just weren't sure. Well, my husband and I went for breakfast. What a treat. Tracy greeted us when we walked in the door, told us to sit anywhere we wanted. She gave us coffee and a menu. My husband and I had the breakfast quesidilla with egg whites, jalapino peppers. It was great. The prices are reasonable, everyone is very friendly. We have been there twice since. more recently with our family. Before we left, Tracy insisted on taking our picture for her wall. Meg, her daughter also works there. they make a great team. Everyone is very friendly and you have a good time just listening to the people. Just an all around great place to be! Highly recommend it. My sister and brother-in-law enjoyed it when they went also.

Reviewed October 4, 2013

if you are on a diet.. or if you you dont like friendly service.. or if you want to eat at the hospital cafeteria.. then stay away from meg and rosies.. this diner... restaurant is the way things should be. a counter.. booths.. the smells of great food... and a wonderful friendly hostess.. tracy will greet you like an old friend.. even if you arent one..people talking .. eating.. relaxing in a very homey atmosphere.. we visited for breakfast and could have stayed for lunch.. the breakfast bowl.. and the sloppy bowl were our selections.. lets just say you have to try it to appreciate it.. if i wasnt such a hog there would have been plenty to take home..denise wanted to take some of hers but i finished that too.. i was really hungry... the pay back???... didnt eat for a week.. i was way too full.. the food is great.. the atmosphere is fantastic. you wont be disapointed.. try it soon.. and if your lucky you will get your picture taken and become another member of the family!!!.. see you there!!! michael and denise

“Friendly Home-Town Diner”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

I liken Meg & Rosie's to the bar featured in the TV show Cheers. You walk through the front door and the owner greets you by your first name!! If Tracy doesn't know you, she does by the time you leave. While the food doesn't qualify as gourmet, it's always served tasty, fresh & hot, just like their endless pot of coffee. As the owners grow into their new, roomier location (just re-located mid-August), their menu grows with them; from the huge Friday night fish-fry, to the prime rib special on Saturday night. Owner Ron is also beginning to show off his baking prowess as well, tempting customers with cookies, cakes & pies made on site. Try it....you'll be glad you did.
