This is the last kind of eatery one expects in the Adirondacks. Maybe in the Catskils 40 years ago but not here. Pastrami? Knishes? Latkes? Yes, yes, yes. And excellent quality in such a pleasant setting. You can take out or eat at the picnic tables overlooking beautiful Long Lake. If they only had Dr. Brown's cream soda. Sigh.

This eatery is open in summer tourism season only. So what, you expect to eat pastrami outside in 20 below zero?

Delightful lakeside stand. I had a creditable pastrami sandwich and my friends had roast turkey and roast beef that they liked. Excellent fresh lemonade! Sat outside under a tent with the gorgeous Ling Lake sparkling in the sun just a few feet from us. But PLEASE correct the spelling you have of this business's name. It's KNOSHERY. (See attached picture.)

A friend sent us here for a quick bite explaining that the owner, Marty, is a transplanted New Yorker (as am I). He is quite a character, but has wonderful food, strong coffee and great conversation.

Definitely recommended!

This little noshery has a limited menu but what they do serve is good - sandwiches mostly. They have picnic tables where you can eat and enjoy the spectacular view. I wish they did not have the awnings. I feel very badly for the restaurant across the street which has been in town for decades. The awnings at the noshery now mean that the folks eating on the deck of the Adirondack Hotel can't enjoy the view - they only see the awnings:( They just seem out of place. Also, expect to pay top dollar.

Stopped in Long Lake for lunch and found this roadside cafe that ended up being great! A little bit of a wait but food was fresh and we enjoyed watching the nearby seaplane arrive and depart. They also have a boat tour which we were sad to miss but hope to try out next summer!
