Service was good, food average, more expensive than other Thai rest. in Astoria. In general, I like spicy food, and their curry was bland. Will not go back.

Thai Pavilion doesn't really stand out that much on 30th Avenue, and we usually order from Three E instead on Broadway, Astoria. The food is a bit too spicy for my liking. Bottom line, it's so so.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at this clean, bright restaurant in the heart of Astoria. The lunch special at a price of $8 is a wonderful value and includes a salad, soup and entree.

The salad was basic lettuce and tomato with a peanut oil dressing. There was a choice of two soups, one of which was spicy. We opted for the spicy and it was a good choice with some chicken and exotic Thai spices.

There are about 15 choices for the main course. I had a beef dish with garlic and mushrooms while my wife had a vegetarian dish flavored with Thai curry. I have to say the flavors in both were excellent. This restaurant is truly authentic and uses the spices to their fullest enjoyment.

Service was excellent and friendly. At an $8 price for three courses, this restaurant is a winner!

This restaurant is a bit of an undiscovered gem. The food is absolutely delicious. Service couldn't be better. Really the nicest, most attentive staff I've ever encountered. Their curries are the best I've had in Queens and second only to a fabulous thai restaurant in Manhattan (called Prem-On). The thing is, a lot of people order Pad Thai and it is not their strongest dish--still very, very good, but not at the excellent level of the curry. Try the tom-yung soups--phenomenally fresh lemongrass, cilantro, etc. Everything has a very delicate, unique flavor... an amazing restaurant.
