This hotel has one of the most unique layouts I have ever seen. The rooms ONLY face the city, so you really cannot loose. They are located in a more removed section of Queens but walk a few blocks and you are at the subway with 1 maybe 2 stops into Manhattan. There is a bar in the basement, don't order anything complex, but the burgers are good. The roof top has a full panorama of the Manhattan skyline.
The rooms are floor to ceiling windows and offer just enough amenities to bring comfort. They sure beat the shoe boxes you have in Manhattan for double the price. My father would balk at staying in Queens and he would probably wonder why the hallways were outside but I don't think this hotel is geared towards people like my father and that is just fine with me.
If you are looking for a modern hotel with good value, great views and easy access to the city, this is a sure bet.More
