within easy reach of manhattan, the hotel is clean and efficient, with large rooms. Good value compared to other hotels in the area.
Local restaurants are down market, nearest quality ones are on Broadway about a mile away.

We have stayed in this hotel now twice and have been very pleased both times. It is a great value for the money. Half of what you would pay for a hotel in Manhatten and only a brief subway ride to the heart of downtown. It subway is only a block from the hotel. Hotel is very clean. We had a Manhatten view room and that view was spectacular. There is a complimentary breakfast and free parking if you happened to have driven there. I believe by NY city standards the room was fairly spacious as well.

Room Tip: ask for the Manhatten view room. Not always available but worth it if you can get it.

This hotel was probable renovated for it sits in the middle of an industrial area, restaurant are not in the area except for one down the street called Bel Aire... Great food but that is another story, Back to the hotel it was a small oversized room that they called a Suite fit me pretty good since all I did was come back walk to dinner and go to sleep early rise. Cost is Cheap and the rooms are nice. Best Western has to change their moto for PLUS for the food in the PLUS Breakfast is something to be desired. The donuts where problem there for a couple of days and the eggs are turning green. To save them the room was fine. food gets a 4 in a scale of 1 to 10 one lowest 10 highest.

Room Tip: Get a suite they are cheap

My wife and I and friends recently stayed here for two nights. We were looking for a close hotel for access to the city as well as to the US Open. This hotel fits the bill! It's only a block away from the 21st Queensbridge metro stop which offers a quick trip in to Manhattan and was about 20 mins from Flushing and the US Open. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were very nice and complete with complimentary coffee, ironing boards, and flat screen TVs. Our room was quite quiet as well for a city hotel. They were clean and the bathrooms were nice as well. One of the best features was the free parking - which is hard to find in NYC!! Breakfast was included and was pretty standard - scrambled eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, and bagels. The only downside is that there's not much to speak of in the surrounding area other than some warehouses, small Subway (food) shop, and some housing apartments But if you're looking for a less expensive alternative to staying in Manhattan with free parking and easy access to the city, then check out the Best Western Plaza!
